He thought I was a dumb-as-rocks pretty boy (true), and I thought he was a brooding, overdramatic theater nerd (just tired). One day we were walking past each other in an empty hallway on campus. He said "Hey, you're Ian right? Want to hang out this weekend?" And we have been close friends ever since.
