Our first date is one of my favorite parts of our love story. We met at the base of Cowles Mountain to embark on a rather challenging hike. Ian was charismatic, charming, talkative and had a contagious positive energy about him. After chasing him up the mountain we made it to the top, a little sweaty and totally in our own world. Ian escorted us away from the crowd and, to my surprise, pulled a blanket out of his backpack for us to sit on. He then proceeded to pull out plastic champagne flutes, a bottle of champagne and a small bottle of orange juice. I was blown away! We enjoyed the view, drank mimosas and talked nonstop. Eventually we decided to make our way down the mountain and parted ways. But don't worry! Earlier in the week I had mentioned to Ian that a DJ I liked was in town that Saturday night, so he bought us two tickets right away. After the hike I went home to change and freshen up then we continued our date dancing the night away! He then invited me to dinner and another concert the next night where we continued to have an incredible time. And the rest is history! Now, I owe my sis Natalie, & my friends Christiana and Allie, a huge THANK YOU for convincing me to give the apps a try. Ian and I met on Hinge only weeks after I created my profile, with the help of my supportive friends. I was very resistant to the apps for a long time but in hindsight it is clearly the best decision I have ever made!! I cannot imagine a more perfect love and we both feel so grateful to have found one another. We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together and we can't wait to celebrate with you next April!
