Italy requires all nationals of the United States and the United Kingdom who are traveling in the last quarter of 2026 to have a valid passport and a valid EITAS travel authorization. EITAS applications will open closer to October. You must have this to enter Italy.
Yes! These are all tips that Maddie swears by: depending on what time you would like to arrive, try to book the latest possible flight out, because that gives you a greater chance of sleeping. The fewer airport connections, the better. Compression socks are great for long flights. Stand up at least once and walk around the plane to support blood flow. Bring snacks so you can sleep through meal service, should you choose. Alcohol = dehydration. The more hydrated you are, the better you'll feel on arrival. When you arrive, stay awake until nighttime. It will be tough, but it will help your circadian rhythm and decrease your jet lag! Happy travels!
We recommend that you fly into FLR (Florence, Amerigo Vespucci Airport), which is the closest airport to Panzano (a 50-minute drive).
Yes! Other nearby airport options include: PSA (Pisa International Airport): approximately a 1 hour 20 minute train ride to Florence. BLQ (Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport): approximately a 1 hour 20 minute train ride to Florence. FCO (Rome Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci” Airport): approximately a 2 hour 30 minute train ride to Florence.
We recommend staying in Panzano. We have a list of various accommodations (hotels, airbnbs, villas) all within Panzano. You can find the list within the Travel Tab, under Accommodation.
We highly recommend hiring a driving service. We have links below. Also, renting a car is a great option if you’re comfortable. You’ll need an International Driving Permit (available through AAA), and be sure to choose an automatic vehicle unless you loooove driving stick-shift. Alternatively, there’s also a public bus from Florence (Beslan T1 Fortezza) to Panzano (Piazza Campana), which takes about 90 minutes and costs roughly €2 per person. Please keep in mind that there is no room for large checked bags, so this option may be better for those traveling light or with backpacks.
We don't think so. Panzano is wonderfully walkable and very charming. However, if you would like to explore the wider Chianti region, a car is nice to have. The town over (Greve in Chianti) has YesToGo Vespa rentals if that piques your interest.
There are no taxi services in Panzano, but there are private drivers available.
Yes! All offer airport transfers and are very customizable to what you need. www.tuscandrivers.com www.tuscanprivatedriver.it/ www.ariannandfriends.com/services/private-driver-in-tuscany/ https://deluxelimoitaly.com/ https://daytrip.com/
Yes, there will be a shuttle service to and from the venue on October 11th for the Welcome Aperitivo and October 13th for the Wedding. Please keep in mind that our shuttle is only able to pick up within 5km of Panzano. We will send out further information about pickup times as we get closer to the date.
Guests should arrive at 1:30pm for a welcome drink before the ceremony begins.
It should be beautiful and warm (roughly 75 degrees) during the day, but chilly at night, so we recommend you bring a sweater or jacket with you. Keep an eye on your favorite weather app for up-to-date info.
While we adore all the children in our lives, all of our celebrations will be adults-only. We hope it’s a chance for you to enjoy a well-deserved night out.
Yay! We hope everyone can take some extra time to enjoy such a beautiful country. We have been to multiple cities in Italy and would love to share our recommendations with you! Don't hesitate to reach out to Maddie and Bill.
