Zac & I toured the shop and met the owners 4 years ago during our gap year program. It was a wonderful experience and I will always come back for a stroopie waffle. The gooey caramel is just right in between two thin chewy cookie waffles, perfect to go with a cup of tea or coffee.
There many shops and good eats in the city. If you want to visit another market then the central market would be somewhere to try some new treats if you're a foodie.
If you're going to be spending time in Lancaster and have free time definitely come on down to UNTO for some volunteer work and see where Zac and I worked together when we first met. Zac's father is the Event Coordinator for the Mount Joy Logistics Center and welcomes all volunteers with open arms. Due to COVID19, war, natural disasters, and extreme climate changes many people are in desperate need of resources. UNTO consistently provides those resources like drilling water wells, giving hygiene products to women where they are inaccessible, packing seeds for agriculture, and giving critical aid to those who need it in the most remote places. Check out the website to learn more about how UNTO and you can restore dignity, relieve suffering, and reveal hope.
Yummy treats here, stop on by for some pie!!
If you enjoy kayaking like me (when I do get out) then this will be an exciting and beautiful way to tour Colombia and see the the bridge from a neat perspective. You might also kayak and see the tallest hill where the Native Americans would gather and look over the land here in Lancaster. Most likely the Susquehannock tribe resided in this location.
I traveled here with two of my bridesmaids, Catherine, and Haley who lives out this way. She showed us around and we had a wonderful time! I ate Korean food for the first time and next time I'd like try the Jamaican food. So definitely check out this market, very fun!
