We're Getting married!

Our first official meeting was actually a mystery trip planned by our teachers at the beginning of our gap year program called OneLife Institute. Zac asked me to pick out some music for the ride so I chose the Newsboys and Relient-k. He absolutely loves Relient-k. For the next 8 hours of that extremely long ride we got to know each other very well. I thought he was the coolest guy. Then we eventually figured out where we were being driven in this mystery van, and it was the state of Maine. It must've been 2 AM once we got to our assigned campground to which we finally stepped out of that van and gazed in awe at the most glorious night sky. I knew that night I wanted to get to know that curiously cute blonde boy. Now here we are, about 4 years later.

First of all, Zachary has always been one to analyze and strategize. He planned ahead of time to buy me season passes to Longwood Gardens for my birthday, July 21st. He knew I'd want to go before school started, which I did. I chose to go with him August 7th and we enjoyed walking around for a while. Eventually I asked out of curiosity while walking through the meadows why the ring wasn't finished at the jeweler's? I had given Zac an heirloom that I chose to be my engagement ring. Then he lied for my sake saying "they still had it" and continued to walk with me only letting me stay on his one side which I hadn't even given thought to. Soon enough, I asked him by the Italian fountains if we could see the "thing, the building structure you go under", I meant the gazebo *I always forget that word for some odd reason* and after much teasing we walked on over. Once nobody was around we went in and he got right down on one knee. I may have cussed out of shock but was so eager to hear those four important words. "Will you marry me"? Now we're engaged and can't wait to celebrate with you!

We've been asked what's going to happen next after getting married and rest assured we'll be moving into our first apartment together. We're looking to settle in Montgomery County and look forward to this new part in our journey, with also plenty of visits to Chester County too! Zac will either continue to work with Green Lawn Fertilizing or begin a new job nearby and also DJ on the side. Madaline is still currently finishing school and is expected to graduate fall 2022 with a bachelors degree in education. She is planning to work for North Penn School District as a janitorial substitute while learning, and hopefully go back to working at PeacefulLiving in Harleysville, PA with special needs adults. She would like to work at PeacefulLiving full time in the future and apply for another position within the organization. Then last but not least, we'll be church hunting in the area.
