This ETA tourist travel visa is newly required by the UK. Each person coming needs to apply. It is about $20 and will be approved in 1-3 business days.

Where you stay is up to you! Hotels and airbnb's are plenty in this beautiful city. We will be staying in the New Town part of Edinburgh. We like it due to it's central location to everything. Here are some hotels we recommend Kimpton Charlotte Square (our favorite location) The Balmoral (for a luxury, historical splurge) W Edinburgh (for the marriott members)
Travel Note
Edinburgh is a very walkable city with easy bus routes. The Lothian buses app is great to use the bus system. If you want to explore outside the city, there are car rentals or private shuttle companies.
Shuttle

Borthwick Castle is located just 30 minutes from Edinburgh. We will be organizing a shuttle pick-up spot in Edinburgh's New Town area. Check back here closer to the date for exact location and time. If your group does not want to take the shuttle and prefers a car, any Uber or taxi service will take you out there. 2 shuttle times will be available for returning to the city: 10 pm and midnight.
