The unknowing future bride called her future groom over a long distance as the sleepy-eyed future groom gained his bearings. He shambled over to her in a half-awake daze. With no idea of what was going on, he asked a question, "Where's the lunchroom?" and then wandered away. A short encounter, a simple question, and just a few short, strange moments lead to a lifetime of more strange moments. Yet, the two of them fell in love with those strange moments as they fell in love with each other. From the late-night Skype chats where Devin would ramble on about whatever over the miles they had to keep from each other over the "2-week quarantine" of COVID-19, to days spent playing silly video games with silly friends, to the pits of concert venue after venue, back to North Carolina Wesleyan where Devin proposed under the same gazebo they spent their first days together, and finally, the wait as Madai walks the aisle to her groom. Yet, despite the crescendo they intend on ending this part of their life with, the next part is just beginning.
