We're getting married!

I had just finished my first year of grad school, and my second one beginning with a full-time internship, I had no interest in beginning a romantic relationship. Kevin had just reconnected with his old group of friends, which were my current friends. I went to an afternoon cookout, where my best friend introduced me to a guy "who was going to be our new best friend". That guy ended up being Kev. After the cookout, a handful of us returned to our friend's house for more food and games. Kevin and I chatted on the porch, quizzing each other on various interests. Kevin, immediately smitten by my charm and good looks, made his interests known in wanting to date. I laughed it off, joking about our future wedding plans and him coming to our next St. Thomas vacation with my family and I. Four days later, I had friends over, one of them including Kevin, and he just never left. He came to the St. Thomas family vacation that year, and the following year we took our own vacation there, where he proposed. Now, our future wedding plans are in the works and we're so excited for all of you to join us on our special day!
