Bride
Dakota grew up in Indiana surrounded by music, nature, and endless curiosity. Her love of performance and creativity eventually led her to New York City to pursue a life in the theatre, where she discovered that life is even more exciting when shared with a fellow adventurer. Kind, hardworking, and always ready to laugh, Dakota thrives when she’s collaborating—especially with Josh. Together they explore the city, tackle creative projects, enjoy the outdoors in NYC and Indiana, and spoil their dog Huxley. Josh is her favorite person, partner-in-crime, and ultimate adventure buddy. With him, every day is brighter, every laugh is louder, and even the simplest moments turn into something joyful and unforgettable. Connection: BRIDE
Groom
Also known as Sass (but only when his brothers aren't around). Josh wears a lot of hats—figuratively and literally—and somehow manages to make it all look effortless. A former Broadway actor, he now runs a talent agency in NYC, coaches the Actor’s Equity Softball team. He directs, choreographs, writes musicals, and generally produces a life lived to the fullest. But the best part of all of it? Sharing it with his girl Dakota. She’s not just the love of his life she’s his best friend, his partner-in-crime, and the person who makes every day brighter, every laugh louder, and every adventure better. Simply put, she’s the reason he’s happier, bolder, and braver than he ever imagined possible. Connection: Groom
Maid of Honor
Also Known As: Mare If there were an award for “Most Likely to Show Up Exactly When You Need Her,” Mary would win it—and she’d bring homemade cookies, a spare phone charger, and three kinds of Band-Aids. A singer, a scholar, and the world’s most overprepared friend, she is the Maid of Honor who arrives with baked goods and emotional support. Mary and the bride met as freshman scene partners (Go Gorlocks!), survived junior and senior year as roommates, and then spent nearly a decade living within ten blocks of each other in NYC. Mary takes care of people and it’s her superpower. She’s a true Brené Brown marble-jar friend—steady, thoughtful, and full of tiny kindnesses. She can organize a fun night faster than most people can send a group text, and she will absolutely dominate karaoke. With a master’s in vocal performance & pedagogy, she’s also an incredible voice teacher whose opinion is basically law in the bride and groom’s home. Connection: Bride’s college roommate
Best Man
Also known as: Rique If there were a Tony Award for “Most Likely to Turn a Toast into a Full Production Number,” it would go straight to Enrique. A former Broadway dancer turned theatre director and choreographer, he brings both jazz hands and heartfelt wisdom to the role of Best Man. Born and raised in Texas and proudly half Mexican, Enrique is equal parts cowboy boots and conchas. He’s a master of the dad joke (the kind that makes you groan and laugh), and no one delivers a pun with more confidence. His wife, Mara deserves her own award for laughing at every single one. When October rolls around, Enrique is the first to say “I’m in” to any Halloween costume, no matter how ridiculous, elaborate, or sparkly. Simply put: if you need charm, laughter, and a bit of choreography to keep the dance floor alive, look no further than Enrique. Connection: Groom’s Softball Buddy
Bridesmaid
Also Known As: Mol If there were an award for “Friendship That Started Before Birth,” Molly and Dakota would win it, mostly because their mums literally did Lamaze together. They graduated straight into baby group besties until Molly moved to England after first grade, rudely introducing an ocean into the equation. Spoiler: the ocean never stood a chance. Their bond kicked into high gear when Dakota studied abroad in London, launching years of dramatic transatlantic visits. They now hop between countries like it’s a competitive sport—most recently scoring gold in Mallorca thanks to the legendary Tim and Claire Riggins. There, Dakota & Josh fell in love with Molly’s kids, Matilda and Raf, who regularly steal the show in every photo Molly sends (which is often). Molly’s husband Jonny has stayed with Dakota & Josh in NYC and is now considered family whether he likes it or not. Molly is wickedly brilliant—one of the smartest, most curious humans Dakota knows—and somehow an even better mom than she is a lawyer (which is saying something). She can pivot from a deep philosophical debate to a night out in 0.2 seconds, and her “on the way home from work” calls are a cherished international broadcast. Connection: Bride’s Oldest Friend
Groomsman
Also Known As: Bradley Brad is living proof that talent and patience can coexist in one extraordinary human. An incredible singer, actor, and musician, Brad lights up every stage he’s on, and every green room he walks into (mostly because he’s usually cracking up the cast). Originally from Alabama, Brad brings Southern charm, a heart of gold, and—let’s be honest—a remarkably memorable butt to the wedding party. He’s Josh’s business partner and fellow cast member in Forever Young, and now he’s tackling a brand-new adventure as company manager for Sesame Street Live—because somehow he thrives under both chaos and confetti. He loves his fiancée, Meggan, almost as much as he loves a good harmony, and together they make one powerhouse couple. Whether he’s singing, managing, or making everyone laugh, Brad proves that grace, grit, and good glutes really can go hand in hand. Connections: Groom’s Business Partner
Bridesmaid
Also Known As: Fi If there were an award for “Most Likely to Lead an Army, a Play, and a Marathon in the Same Week,” Fiona would already have it—and she’d accept it with a smile, a plan, and a coffee with half/half. She and Dakota started as catering friends, then Fiona became the boss, then they became co-bosses… basically the friendship-to-leadership pipeline no one saw coming. Fiona is one of the best leaders Dakota has ever known; firm, joyful, creative, and somehow always managing to make chaos feel like a game people want to win. Just like her husband Trevor, everyone loves her and for good reason: she is the hardest worker and will happily start from scratch if that’s what her dream requires. No mountain is too tall for her. (Literally. She climbed Kilimanjaro by herself.) She’s run multiple NYC marathons, earned her master’s in theatre education, and follows her ambitions with fearless joy. Fiona is also the kind of person who opens her home—and her heart—without hesitation, making anyone feel instantly welcome, supported, and celebrated. Connection: Bride’s catering friend turned co-boss
Groomsman
Also known as: Timberly Tim has been there for Josh through some of Josh's toughest moments, proving that loyalty, brains, and impeccable taste can all coexist in one remarkable friend. Super smart and effortlessly stylish, Tim has dressed for both the Metropolitan Opera and the NYC Ballet—so yes, he knows what he’s doing when it comes to looking good. A true foodie and lover of a stiff drink, Tim can disappear from a party like a boss but always shows up for the people who matter most. He’s also politically active and a fierce advocate for the marginalized, with a talent for debating and convincing the best into seeing what really matters. If you need proof that joy is contagious, just listen to his laugh—it’s honestly the best you’ll ever hear. Whether he’s giving advice, sharing a cocktail, championing a cause, or just making everyone around him smile, Tim is the kind of friend everyone wishes they had in their corner. Connection: Groom’s Previous roommate
Bridesmaid
Also Known As: Pure Imagination Lisa is one of those friends who quietly does everything; supports, encourages, and comes through for everyone. She’s brilliant, independent, and a total BOSS (VP in her company) but she carries it all with a gentle humility that only makes her more inspiring. She effortlessly embodies taking care of herself while taking care of the people she loves, and she does it all with joy, warmth, and generosity. She also shows up in ways that matter—flying to Florida, Rhode Island, and Boston to see Dakota perform. Then there’s the fun side: our favorite memory being her riding a stick pony on a ski trip while singing “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka. Joyful, ridiculous, perfect Lisa energy. Connection: Bride’s Softball team turned soul sisters
Groomsman
Also known as: James Luis Poff III Jay has an epic voice that can sing anything, from Broadway belters to pop hits, and somehow he manages to be just as impressive at karaoke night as he is on stage. A devoted dad and hardworking friend, Jay has even taken “organization” to heroic levels—labeling every prop in "Mom’s basement" so the Forever Young cast would know exactly where everything goes. Originally from Alabama, Jay is as at home as Frankenfurter in Rocky Horror as he is Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, proving versatility is his middle name. He’s also married to Megan, his high school sweetheart, and somehow balances epic talent, family life, and being quick with a music meme without breaking a sweat. Whether he’s hitting a high note, making life easier for everyone around him, or just being game for another round of karaoke, Jay is the kind of friend and performer everyone wishes was on their side.
