After high school we both attended the illustrious Texas Southern University, sorry PV. 😂People often assumed we were twins. Literally! We had professors who couldn’t tell us apart. NEWSFLASH, we’re not twins! 😩 Ashley has alway been by my side no matter what and we share some of my best memories together. I’ll always be thankful that she chauffeured me to college in her Honda, that had no AC🥵! She has been a shoulder to lean on, particularly when it came to relationships. As a teenager her and her mom welcomed me into her family with no hesitation. Now her mom has 2 daughters, not 1. Hey Granny Pam! I am so excited she has chosen to stand beside me as my Maid of Honor.

Who knew that I would be reduced to being called MACARONI TONY!! I don’t even like cheese! 🤷🏽‍♀️ From sharing slam books, & attending vacation bible school, we’ve been through it all. As a teenager I would like to say her family welcomed me with open arms, but they didn’t 😂. Her grandma actually complained that I came in the house & went straight to the kitchen. She told me I had no manners! We love you Verna! ❤️ Kiesha gave me my first God-child, & if you know me, you know she’s my pride & joy. Kiesha has been one to give me sound and advice & even flat out tell me, “you’re crazy!” Touché bestie, touché! Our friendship is one that i’m most thankful for. As my best friend, confidant, neighbor and Matron of honor, it is my pleasure to have Kiesha stand next to me on my wedding day.

My Petty Betty, I’m not even sure how she got that name, but context clues tell me it was because she was being petty. Laticia is the longest friendship I have. Crab legs are our love language, and we both appreciate a good nap. We can sit and talked for hours about Married at First sight, and we even share funny memes in the group chat with my mom. That chat is lit!! However the favorite memories we share are concerts! She is my concert bestie!! There’s no one I’d rather attend a concert with than with her. We’ve seen Tank, Joe and Jagged Edge, just to make a few. Sorry babe! We talk daily & now we live 15 minutes away! I’ve watched Laticia become an amazing mother & a totally awesome wife! As I enter this next chapter of my life, I’m so excited to have her by my side on my big day.

CC Where you at can I get a hand clap!!! This friendship that we share started out as us being Killough Eagles. That’s right, 7th and 8th grade. Tynisha is the little sister I never wanted but somehow ended up with, sorry Sissy, you know I love you. 😂😂😂 As we’ve grown into adulthood I’ve watched her become a mom, an educator, and a Counselor all while being Superwoman. No seriously, I’ve seen it with my own eyes. She’s is tenacious, fearless, and takes THE BEST selfies. More than anything she’s keeps me honest. (Side note, I think she’s using her degree on me, lol) I know I can call on her when I want a nice bowl of Pho, or want to ask the question, “Sissy, tell me whether I’m right or wrong”. I love the bond we share and I’m forever grateful for the Sisters we have become.

“Keisha did you forget your dance shoes again?” Our blossoming friendship started at the age of 11. We were on the Anointed Joy Dancers praise dance team. I’ve watched Keisha grow & travel to another state, by herself, to work for a Fortune 5! But success didn’t stop there, she then pivoted to become a wildly successful lash trainer! We share my 2nd longest friendship, & I’m forever grateful for that. She’s the person I call when I have a business idea, or need professional advice. If you knew her story you would agree that she’s one of the strongest women ever. She’s resilient, funny and while she’s a million miles away she’s always close in spirit. Recently I’ve watched her become an amazing wife. I am so happy to share my journey with her. To my favorite Gogo, I’m getting married girl!

CC Where you at can I get a hand clap!!! My BOO-THANG! When I met Shaunte she was this super cool girl who had enter the Fisher’s scene! She had THE PERFECT donut! I was enamored! Literally asking myself, “How on earth does she get her donut so perfect!” She was SO fashionable & had almost every Polo Purse Foley’s had to offer. Talk about handbag goals! Now we’ve both upgrade to YSL, but 1 day we’ll be rocking Chanel! As time progressed her family welcomed me into their home when my teenage years were crazy! When I graduated college she gave me my first HR job as a Recruiter. Talk about blessed🙌🏽! As years passed, I’ve remained close to her family and that’s why her dad is officiating my wedding! I’m so thankful to call her my sister, and have her stand beside me on my wedding day.

My first God child and favorite headache. She taught me how to be a mother, even without having kids of my own. She is so beautiful, and whenever I need help with these new apps like TikTok she’s the 1 person I call, begging “KIANNA HELP ME!!”. While I think I spoiled her too much as a baby, I couldn’t help it. She was so cute and I wanted to give her the world. Even though I was only 16 I had two amazing sets of God-Parent’s and I was passing down to her, what they gave to me. She is tiny in statue but huge in personality and lashes! I am so happy to have the young lady that I helped raise stand beside me on my big day.

Kennedi - Have you ever met a kid who you just knew, "One day she's going to change the world". Well, that's my Kenni , my future Plastic Surgeon. She is quiet, peaceful and a force to be reckoned with. One day recently, I pulled up to pick up her older sister, Kianna, and she was outside practicing her volleyball skills BY HERSELF!! She has always been dedicated and one of the smartest kids I know. She is beautiful both inside and out and I know that one day she will be one of my most successful God children. Keep striving for your dreams baby girl, and I know you will change the world.
