With over thirty Marietta Square restaurants in the area — ranging from traditional American and Southern fare to BBQ, Australian, Thai, Vietnamese, Greek, French, Italian, Mediterranean, and more – an eclectic mix tempts your taste buds. Desserts, bakery items, pizza, breweries, and “spirits” also are within easy reach. If you are interested in the area’s history, visit the Marietta Museum of History next to the Welcome Center. The museum holds collections of photographs, artifacts and information about Marietta and North Georgia. Additional Marietta Square destinations include the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, Marietta Fire Museum, and the Root House Museum.

Hours: Tuesday — Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Closed: Sunday and Monday) Nestled in the City of Marietta (right next to the Hilton), is historic Brumby Hall. Built in 1851, the historic dwelling is also the home of the Marietta Gone with the Wind Museum. The museum has been a mainstay in Marietta since 2003, when it opened in the historic Old Thomas Warehouse building on the Marietta Square. With an extensive collection of memorabilia relating to the book and movie, you do not have to be a die-hard fan of Gone with the Wind to enjoy the vast history surrounding one of the world's most beloved books and movies. The book has never left bookshelves since 1936, and the film is the number one box-office movie of all time (when allowing for inflation).
