Briza Restaurant
Located in Midtown, Crosstown Concourse, a former Sears warehouse, has since been converted into a multipurpose space for residences, restaurants, live music, a nail salon and more. Briza is one of the newest hot spots for brunch, lunch or dinner to hit the Memphis food scene...it's a 10/10 from us! Suggestion: Go for a meal before or after visiting the iconic Memphis Zoo, shopping and walking around Overton Square or even playing a round of 9 holes at Overton Park.
Catherine & Mary's
Located Downtown, in an industrial-chic space, this is a popular Italian date night known for both its food and amazing cocktails. Suggestion: This is a great dinner option after having happy hour at The Peabody Lobby Bar!
Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous
A Downtown Memphis BBQ Staple, Rendezvous is truly the most iconic BBQ place in town. Go for the food, stay for the history and take a step back in time! Suggestion: Do your walking around Beale Street, Graceland, etc. BEFORE...you will likely be in a food coma after this meal!
Hog & Hominy
Memphis' own chefs, Andrew Ticer and Michael Hudman, were awarded a Bib Gourmand in the inaugural 2025 Michelin Guide for the American South for this location! Suggestion: Be like Mackenzie & John and grab a seat at the iconic bar, order the Romaine Salad without chicken skins (Mackenzie's preference) and the Thunderbird Pizza (John's favorite).
Libro at Laurelwood
This hidden gem of a restaurant is located within Novel (a classic bookstore) and in the heart of East Memphis (where we live). Suggestion: Grab a glass of wine and the Chicken-Vegetable Stir Fry (Mackenzie's usual).
The Peabody Memphis
The Lobby Bar is truly iconic! Take a pic, grab a drink and witness the classic Duck March (daily at 11am and 5pm). Suggestion: Stroll on over after your Rendezvous late-lunch, go for the 5pm Duck March, have a drink, people watch and regroup!
Tiger and Peacock
This indoor rooftop bar above The Memphian is one-of-a-kind. It's close proximity, unique design, intimate vibe and great wine & cocktail selection make Tiger & Peacock a fan favorite for us. Suggestion: Book a spot on Open Table and be sure to take a photo or selfie (or both).
Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid
While yes, it's literally a massive Bass Pro Shop--that's not all, folks! Within The Pyramid is also The Big Cypress Lodge and a few restaurants. Suggestion: Take a ride on the country's tallest free-standing elevator up to The Lookout, where you can grab a meal, drink or incredible panoramic photo of Memphis!

Tour the King's iconic mansion and grounds! Suggestion: Book an early tour (before 2pm). The Elvis Experience is the "standard option," and likely the one you want!

For our golf-lovers: Play a round of 9 or 18 on Galloway, one of the many public courses in Memphis. It also happens to be a 3 minute drive from our house!
Shelby Farms Park
Looking for your spot to go strolling with a morning coffee, running, biking around the lake or somewhere to read with a view? Then this is it! Suggestion: It's on the opposite side of town so here's what else you can do if you're over there...Eat at Coastal Fish Company (upscale), Southern Social (upscale) or Germantown Commissary (BBQ), or, get your last minute pick me ups or wedding essentials at the Saddle Creek Shopping Center!
Sun Studio
Discover the place known worldwide as “The Birthplace of Rock’n’Roll!” Suggestion: Loop this in with your Graceland and Downtown Memphis site-seeing. Walking through Sun Studios is pretty quick!
