Get to know our wedding party!

Peyton Millard

Maid of Honor- Sister of the Bride

Hello everyone! As some of you might know, I’m the Bride’s younger sister. I’ve known Kenz and David as a unit since David first came over to our Mom’s house in 2012. That was the same year that David and Kenzie set me up with David’s best friend, Canaan (Best Man). So, over the years we all have become very close. We’ve gone to the boys’ hockey games, pumpkin patches, prom, family vacations and much more and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these two crazy love-birds. And, more than that, I can’t wait to celebrate this day with them!

Canaan Janicek

Best Man- Childhood friend of Groom

David and I have been friends since we were in diapers. Our moms had been best friends since before David and I were born and used to take turns trying to keep us in line. David lived at my house for a summer around when Kenzie and David had started dating, but honestly I think he was at her house more than mine. I met Mackenzie when she moved to Alma and got to know her more because she was in my high school classes. I’m super excited for David and Kenzie to get married and I know their future holds great things. With that being said, let’s party!

Kayla Robinson

Bridesmaid- College Friend

I met David and Mackenzie, better known as Dave-O & Kenz, in Aug. of 2013 at the University Village Move-In Day. A month later, we randomly selected both David and Kenzie to attend a housing conference in St. Louis. Jacob and I immediately had a feeling this was a couple we could get along with. Since then, we’ve celebrated birthdays & holidays, lived together, travelled together and have made some of our best decisions together. One of my favorite memories with them is the time we decided to go camping on Halloween. I think it’s best not to elaborate on that one, though, so you’ll have to ask David & Kenzie for the details. I’m so happy to have gotten to do life together with these two for the past 5 years and can’t wait to celebrate them getting to spend the rest of their lives together!

Jacob Robinson

Groomsman- College Friend

I met Davr and Mack Millar at UNO in 2013, where our friendship began almost immediately. They were the first brave souls to move out of the dorms in college, so we all inevitably spent our Friday and Saturday nights in their basement over that year. They soon decided they’d rather split the workload of cleaning up after us -- enter 9005E (pronounced goose), the rental property shared between six of us over a year. Living together was one of the most fun years of my life. We patched a lot of wall holes, made our best attempt at viral fame (#magnetchallenge), and could have opened our own recycling facility from the amount of aluminum we cleaned out of our basement that year; all while reinforcing our lifelong friendship even more. Congratulations Dave and Mackenzie!

Tayla Heavican

Bridesmaid- College Friend

I first met David and Mackenzie in October of 2013 while attending UNO. At this time, we had all signed up to go on a housing conference to Saint Louis together. I attended another housing conference with Mackenzie the next spring, and shortly after that, we became close friends! It is crazy to think that was 5 and a half years ago, but in this time we have had so many unforgettable adventures! Some of these adventures include squad get-togethers, days at the lake, camping, concerts, and our Arizona girls’ trip…, which no one will be forgetting anytime soon! I am so happy for David and Mackenzie and cannot wait to share in the celebration for their new adventure through life together officially as Mr. and Mrs.! I wish them both a lifetime of love and happiness!

Seth Bolte

Groomsman- Brother of the Groom

I was very young when I first met David. I have too many favorite memories of us growing up to pick one in particular. What I do know is, I have always looked up to him, even though I look down on him. When I first met Mackenzie I thought for sure that she was way out of his league. All jokes aside, David and Mackenzie complement each other nicely, and I am excited for them to get married and welcome her to the family.

Corissa Clark

Bridesmaid- College Friend

Hi I’m Corissa! I met David and Mackenzie together about 6 years ago through mutual friends from UNO. I am a hairstylist so I didn’t have a whole lot in common with everybody at first, but Mackenzie and I clicked right away! My husband, Austin, and Dave have had a special bond since day one, some would say similar to a father and son! Over the years our group of friends (aka Squad) have become our own little family, spending Thanksgiving and Christmas, 4th of July and our own holidays in between together. And now coming together for the wedding of our dear friends is added to the special days we’ll have together for the years to come! Mackenzie and David, I love you both and am so happy for you!

Austin Clark

Groomsman- College Friend

I met Dave and Kenz at UNO during our undergraduate programs. Dave and I got along instantly as we share a lot in common, including our obsession for video games, as well as building and working on computers. Some of my best memories are the times we’ve spent together camping and hanging out at the pool, as well as the numerous squad events we’ve had with our group. The two of them are lucky to have found each other, and I’m honored to be a part of their big day!

Maggie Craig

Bridesmaid- College Friend

I met Kenzie and David soon after I transferred to UNO and since then, we’ve all been close friends. I’ve made memories with them throughout the past few years from going camping, to World’s of Fun, and going to visit their town of Alma. One of my favorite memories is a recent girl’s trip I went on with Kenzie this past winter to Scottsdale, Arizona. We had a blast shopping, hiking, trying new foods, and we even tried Top Golf. I’ve had great times with Kenzie and David, and hope to have many more! They are an amazing couple, and they truly have a great love for each other. I wish them the best, and am thankful to be a part of their special day!

Zech Craig

Groomsman- College Friend

Like most great friendships I can’t quite remember how Dave and I first met. We had a lot of mutual friends which led to us spending a lot of time together. This ultimately led to Dave and I living in a house together. It was here that Dave and I really began to bond over common interests. We would spend hours watching football playing video games and watching dragon ball Z in the basement.

Evan Millard

Jr. Groomsman- Brother of the Bride

I don't remember the first time I met David cause he's always been with my sister Mackenzie. My favorite memory with David and Mackenzie is Christmas Bingo. Kenzie gets so mad when David wins. One thing I love most about my sister Mackenzie is that she hugs me & loves me.

Tyler Herek

Usher- College Friend

I vividly remember the first time I met David. I was at Old Chicago for some drinks with one of David’s former roommates. The roommate decided to call David and tell him to join us. He walked in proudly & resplendent in his white Hurley hat and a pair of snug fitting basketball shorts. It was in this instance, I knew, I was meeting someone truly special in my life. I would describe the ensuing friendship between David and I as something straight out of a Monty Python skit; full of love and laughs, with as many unexpected events as the Spanish Inquisition. Words can’t express how honored I am to be a part of David and Mackenzie’s day, as they express their undying love for each other. I will even be able to appreciate, a group of Iowa fans with their hearts aflutter.

Joe Loghry

Usher- College Friend

I’ve known David for about 5 years now which means I didn’t know him before Mackenzie was a part of his life. The first few times I met Dave and Mackenzie, I assumed they had been together for a long time due to the seemingly high maturity level of their relationship. Dave and I met in college through mutual friends. We hung out quite a bit; at least once a week. David and I got along right away – mostly due to his witty ‘slapstick’ style of humor. David has always been quick to make witty comments that always hit me straight in the funny bone. I don’t cry from laugher often, but if anyone can get me to, its usually Dave. He’s a great friend and someone I can often look up to. David and Mackenzie will always have a place in my memories, now and in the future.

Josie DeKok

Bridal Attendant- Sister of the Bride

I remember the first time Kenzie brought David home so we could meet. I really didn't know what to think about him, then I saw that he makes her laugh and we got along really good. My favorite memory with Mackenzie and David was going to the Mall of America and having fun shopping and hanging out together. That weekend we also went to an Iowa Hawkeye football game and it was freezing cold.

Rachael Bolte

Bridal Attendant- Sister of the Groom

I am Rachael, the grooms little sister. I am very happy for my big brother to be marring a woman like Mackenzie she is amazing! I have always wanted a sister and I am so excited that I now get the best one I could ever think of getting. I love the holidays we have had together and can’t wait to have many more hilarious fondue Christmas dinners.
