Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Mackenzie Hill and Raymond Kromer
Meet the people who have not only been important friends in our respective lives, but have been such supportive forces in our relationship from the start.

Dean Kromer

Best Man

My best friend and semi-willing partner in crime I dragged to everything and anything from our earliest days! The first memories I have are doing shenanigan's with dean and that has carried on throughout life. He is my little brother who I will both cherish and bully in a single breath while he grins as he tries to mess with me himself. He lives in the far away land of the UK now but I love every moment we can steal to hang out.

Sami Miller

Bridesmaid

My ride-or-die throughout my college years! I met Sami at Oakland University where the two of us quickly became inseparable while planning large-scale campus events (and not only because we were both working 40-100 hours a week at Student Program Board lol). From Hump Days and gallon bags of pesto to office waterboarding and joint custody of the fish Goldie, Sami was a huge part of surviving life through covid. Although we live a few hours away, we're always looking for ways to overlap our lives whether 50-mile bike rides, catamaran racing, simply walking a park, but regardless it somehow becomes an adventure.

Ryan Thomas

Best Man

Bri McClain

Bridesmaid

My ride-or-die throughout my middle/high school years! Bri and I had so many great times as pseudo-sisters as my mom took us for late night frappes to put us to sleep(?) after student council and basketball practices alike. While going through photos, I realized just how many trips we've gone on together from Mexicali and Ensenada mission trips to Germany and Czechia - each and every one a spectacular adventure. Ray and I have loved our trips to Chicago and are already looking forward to stealing Bri and Pat for another museum date!

Evan Dietz

Groomsman

Bekah Wisneski

Bridesmaid

My ride-or-die throughout my Grand Rapids years! Bekah entered my life with the purchase of an adult kickball team and we've been each other's counterparts ever since. While roommates at my house, I swear we'd have a minimum of 4 events each week complete with themes, wonderful food, a kegerator, karaoke machine, and so much more love we put into not only the house and hosting, but ensuring everyone felt welcome to walk through the front door (regardless if we were home). Coming home from work to find a myriad of people and activities through the front window was truly the pinnacle of Grand Rapids living. There's no one I'd rather go with to see the healthy green river in Chicago and those dang lizards in Tulum.

Austin Davidson

Groomsman

Bonnie Reiff

Bridesmaid

One of the newer additions to my life, Bonnie and I met during a Home Repair Services class where she somehow convinced me to join November Project's 6am workout group - which introduced me to an entire new circle of friends! Since then, we've shared adventures biking, climbing, future scuba(!?), and attempting -with varying degrees of success- to start projects during our monthly gals craft nights.

Caleb Langley

Groomsman

Robyn Miller

Bridesmaid

Robyn is the undisputed queen of crafts, from sewing and woodburning to just about every craft in between. Another friendship that began through Home Repair Services, Robyn always brings thoughtful conversation, creativity, and enthusiasm to every gathering. Even after moving an hour away, she remains one of the most dedicated attendees at our monthly gals nights.

Seth Barefoot

Groomsman

Tessa Williams

Bridesmaid

Meeting Tessa at a party hosted by our mutual friend (thanks Anna Nkiko!) led to a beautiful friendship that has now spanned a wild five years. We met during a tumultuous chapter of my life after moving to Grand Rapids in the middle of covid, and around that same time Tessa began hosting girls' wine nights on her porch which was the connection and community we all needed. Today, she's one of the driving forces behind our gals nights, which somehow always seem to involve far more conversation and laughter than the linocutting projects on the agenda.

Olivia, Joslyn, & Vivienne

Flower Girls

Our flower girls bring more energy, personality, and joy than the rest of the wedding party combined! Olivia and Joslyn are cousins who keep everyone on their toes, while Vivienne is one of Ray's beloved nieces. Together they're equal parts sweet, silly, and adventurous - we're thrilled they'll be helping us celebrate our big day!

Chris Russell

Witness

A dear friend of Mackenzie's for over a decade, Chris has been there from the very beginning. Whether holding together the university or fighting it, every adventure centered around improving the lives of those around us. The friendship has since included everything from a casual trips ranging Croatia and Mexico to plenty of adventures closer to home including countless heartfelt conversations. Chris has a gift for connecting with people; you'll often find him deep in conversation with strangers, old friends, and everyone in between. He was there when Ray and Mackenzie were still 'just friends', and somehow always seems to know exactly the right questions to ask.

Kevin Huffman

Ring Bearer

Another decade-old friend of Mackenzie's who Ray even stole as a roommate! Mac initially met Kevin as part of the robotics mechanical team though this friendship quickly escalated to joining the club ultimate frisbee team, countless shenanigans, and most recently pulling him into the Hobie sailing obsession where we've bought/destroyed/sold more boats than we'd like to admit (at least 7?). Speaking of which, Kevin recruited Ray as crew on his Hobie 18 during a regatta, becoming friends long before Ray and Mackenzie started dating. Whether it's sailing, cabin projects, or a new adventure, you know Kevin will be showing up with tools, enthusiasm, and gumption.

Trevor Sutton

Ring Bearer

Another longtime Oakland University friend, Trevor first crossed paths with Mackenzie through the neighboring Formula SAE racing team sharing a wall with the robotics lab. Trevor has always been willing to jump into any adventure, welcome new faces, and make the drive no matter how far away the event. He was also around before Ray and Mackenzie started dating and played an important role in their early friendship (despite Ray talking enough for both of them at the beginning). From road trips to questionable ideas that somehow become great stories, Trevor is always ready and pushing for whatever comes next.
