FAQs

Question

What are we eating?

Answer

Great question. Your options are NY Steak, Pistachio Crusted Cod, or a Vegetarian Poke Bowl (no this does not have tuna - my brain did that too). Please make sure to indicate your entree choice on the back of your rsvp card. This is an open bar event but make sure to please drink responsibly 😉 or utilize the shuttle if you’re staying at the wedding block hotels.

Question

Where do we stay?

Answer

There are three hotels with a wedding block for the unicorn wedding. Please head to the travel page for direct links to all three hotels to book your stay and get your discount.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be shuttles running from the hotels we have wedding blocks at to take you to the wedding and back to your hotel.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please rsvp by September 5th. Don’t make me hunt you down 😉 Also remember to write your name on the rsvp card.

Question

Formal attire really?

Answer

Short answer yes. Long answer, basically what we’re asking is no jeans, flip flops, shorts etc. Remember when Anthony wore 3 piece suits to work? Want to go full glam? Please do. You’ll feel amazing and have an extra pep in your step cuz you know you look good 😉 Is it required? No LoL but please play a little dress up with us. Did I say no jeans? 🙃 Also to my fabulous heel ladies you are good to go. No grass walking required over here.

Question

Some food kills me, can I make a special request?

Answer

Our venue can accommodate basic food allergy requests. Please let Anthony or me know (aka let me know) ahead of time if you have any (i.e. no pistachios on the cod). Please do not wait until day of. Your food might kill you if you wait that long.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Palm Event Center does have a parking lot on site. Also remember, we gots a shuttle. Please use it if you plan on enjoying some tasty adult beverages.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 5:00 pm. This is Pleasanton, CA. On a Thursday. At 5:00. I STRONGLY suggest leaving early. Traffic in this area SUCKS. And I mean sucks. Like LA sucks.

Question

Why do you hate children?

Answer

We love your kids (most of the time 😉). We really do. Let’s be real, kids are bored at weddings and we want you to enjoy yourself and have a good time! But most importantly, we’re poor and we just can’t afford it. Y’all have too many kids LoL We promise it’s not personal and if we could we’d literally invite everyone.

Question

Am I going to sweat my ass off, die of heat stroke or burst into flames?

Answer

Your pale girl has got you! And yes I just said ass on our wedding website. Pleasanton in October can get hot. Not Arizona hot so you guys are fine and will probably be chilly. Our current plans are all indoors with air conditioning except for cocktail hour so you’ll only be on fire for a short period of time. That being said, if you burn like my ass does I would recommend sunscreen for cocktail hour (or hiding at the bar).

Question

I have a question not listed. Where does that go?

Answer

We can be reached via phone call, text message, Facebook, Instagram, snail mail or porch visit. Other than showing up at our house, text is the fastest way to get a response from me. Notice that change in narrative? Yes, you can text Anthony but if you actually want your question answered this year text me LoL he doesn’t even know what this website looks like. While it may not seem that way, I’m not actually on Facebook all day so those messages do take longer to respond to sometimes. If your question is time sensitive please text me. If you don’t have my number, feel free to message and ask for it.

Question

What can I do with my cellphone?

Answer

You are welcome to video & take pictures. Our ceremony will not be “unplugged”. We only request that you be mindful of those around you so you don’t block their view with your phones, outstretched body parts, etc. Don’t go into the aisle and definitely make sure you don’t block our photographer. While we can’t wait to see all of your shots, we’re paying for his 😉

For all the days along the way
