The summer both our families moved to Alpine, our parents stuck their kids in Vacation Bible School. We met singing Bible songs and making crafts. The next few years we went to the same Sunday School classes, and Hannah developed an obsessive crush on Jared. She flirted with him for years, but was too afraid to say anything. After his freshman year of high school, Jared moved to El Paso. But as our families were friends, we met up once a year at the Foley's ranch for a hunting trip. Hannah was anxious every year but would never admit why. After moving to Alpine Jared also developed an obsessive crush on Hannah. He flirted with her for years, but was to afraid to say anything. During his freshman year he moved away to El Paso and he didn't think a relationship would ever happen. Senior year, Hannah decided to move to New York City and finally after eight years, gave up on ever being with Jared. But then the ranch trip happened. During the ranch trip Jared tried to find the right moment to tell Hannah how he has felt about her. During the trip the moment never came up. The next day however, Jared couldn't get over the feeling that he missed his only chance. So he reached out to Hannah and finally told her how he felt. Hannah still moved to New York, but our connection has been strong enough that we dated long distance - New York to West Texas - for three years. Right before the three year mark, Jared asked Hannah to marry him. Right there in a New York City subway station.
