We’re getting married!

Megan and Mac met the modern way in 2021—on a dating app. But before they ever met in person, Mac left the country. While he was off exploring Greece, the two FaceTimed every single day for two weeks, unknowingly laying the foundation for what would become their forever. By the time he returned home, they already felt like best friends. Mac was so excited to finally meet Megan in real life that he couldn’t even wait for their original zoo date. Instead, he scooped her up for a very glamorous first date: Costco chicken bakes, eaten at a park in Kirkland overlooking Lake Washington. Romantic? Maybe not traditionally. Iconic? Absolutely. From that very first date, it was clear—something special was happening. What started as instant laughter, easy conversation, and feeling like “home” quickly turned into a love story neither of them could imagine living without. Over the years, Megan and Mac discovered a shared love for skiing and now make it a weekly winter tradition, taking ski trips together and chasing snowy adventures. Their little family also grew to include their cat, Bees, and their dog, Moose—who keeps life entertaining at all times. In September 2024, Mac pulled off the ultimate full-circle moment by proposing at the very same dock where they had their first Costco-date-by-the-lake. At sunset. In the rain. With a double rainbow in the sky. Yes—an actual double rainbow. Megan nodded yes through happy tears (so excited and emotional that she forgot to actually say “yes”), and it was nothing short of magical. From FaceTime calls across the world, to chicken bakes by the lake, to ski trips, pets, and forever—Megan and Mac are so excited to celebrate their love with the people who mean the most to them. And they can’t wait to start their next adventure as husband and wife.
