FAQs

We will continue to update this page as often as necessary. If you have any questions not listed on the site, please feel free to reach out to the Bride or Groom.
Question

As a result of the current pandemic, can we travel to St. Lucia?

Answer

Yes - as of now, travel to St. Lucia is permitted provided you comply with its travel protocol. Some of their MANDATORY entry requirements include: a COVID-19 PCR test with a negative result taken no more than 5 days before arrival in Saint Lucia for ages over 5, and completion and submittal of BOTH travel authorization and health screening forms. If fully vaccinated, proof of vaccination is also required. It’s not clear if a copy or photo would suffice so begrudgingly we recommend you bring your actual vaccination card. This continues to be a fluid situation so please be sure to visit stlucia.org for more information.

Question

Is a COVID test required before you re-enter the U.S.?

Answer

Yes - either an antigen or NAAT(ex. PCR) negative test result is required no more than 3 days before travel OR documentation of recovery from COVID in the past 3 months.

Question

Is a passport required for travel to St. Lucia?

Answer

Yes, yes, yes! For those without a passport or need to renew passport, we implore you start the application/renewal process now, as there are serious delays due to COVID-19, to ensure you have a passport by July 2021. Please be sure to visit travel.state.gov for updates on phased passport state operations in your (nearby) city/state. Please note your passport must be valid for 6 months after your trip to St. Lucia (i.e. your passport cannot expire before or in January 2022).

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids - we really do. However, only the kids of the wedding party are welcomed. Nonetheless, the family resort can accommodate your family should you decide to make this a family vacation.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest", then yes, if not, we would prefer if it's just you.

Question

Any additional information I should know about Saint Lucia when planning my trip?

Answer

Yes in a nutshell: - Official language is English - Atlantic Standard Time Zone (Eastern Standard Time with no adjustments to daylight savings) - Currency is Eastern Caribbean Dollar but US currency is widely accepted (approx $1 ECD = .37 USD) so the USD is favorable - 10% service charge on restaurant bills (if dining off the resort), which is sometimes already included in price so make sure you confirm - Recommend tipping is 10-12% - There is a $13 departure tax charge (if already not included in airfare) - Duty free allowance for arriving passengers is 40 fl oz of wine and spirits; 200 cigarettes or half pound of tobacco or 50 cigars - You’ll likely need a converter or transformer for electricity, as a higher voltage is used. You can find inexpensive ones on Amazon - International dialing/text rates apply so downloading apps WhatsApp, Line or Telegram on your phone is recommended. They are free international apps that allow you to stay connected to folks back in the U.S.
