How We Met After much disappointment in the physical aspect of dating, my good friend Jeffrey recommended I try dating online via Tinder. After a few interactions with just "okay" gentlemen, I swiped right on a profile for a guy named Mazi. We chatted online for a few days and finally I (yes, it was me) hinted that he ask me out on a physical date. On August 23, 2014, Jeffrey drove me to our meeting place (my car had recently died and I didn't want Mazi to know where I lived). As per usual, I sent out information on Mazi (including his name, description (car and person), etc.) to friends and family in case something happened to me. Well, after an EIGHT HOUR date and nearly six years later we all know what happened to me.....I met my love!
How We Met My (former) roommate Joe told me about this App called Tinder and said that I should give it a try...so I gave it a try. I really was not feeling Tinder, until I came across Marquisa's profile and swiped right. Before I knew it we were talking over the phone for a few days. She asked me out on a date (that's my truth lol). Since we met online she didn’t want me to know where she lived (stalker), so I met her in a parking lot in a random location. Our first date lasted for 8 hours, yeah a whole shift at work! We both had a great time, and by the way we ran into a person that knew her at every place we stopped. Since that first date we have not looked back, and now we are getting married.
To commemorate the fifth anniversary of our first date, we ate lunch and then decided to stroll one of the many places we visited on our first date (The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University). I turned to observe a beautiful tree, looked back, and he was down on one knee. Suddenly, my brother Glen popped out from behind one of the landmark trees, recording the proposal. Totally surprised, yet excited I said YES...and we were engaged! We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you all. Get ready to turn up in the Caribbean! See you in St. Lucia!
