Chris caught me completely off guard with the ring. He had considered doing it around our home in Montana and then realized it'd be silly not to do it in Alaska with his family there. I knew I would marry this guy since day one...or at least a few months into his persistency, but I had no idea when. I figured we had a couple of years left before he proposed, and I am not one to pressure. I knew it would happen when it was meant to.

Claims he was keeping the ring taped under the sink, LOL.

Then, BOOM, there he was, on a knee at Portage Glacier in Whittier, Alaska, in July of 2021. Alaska was a trip of a lifetime (thank you to Mama and Papa Laber, who had us all in one RV for a week)! It was hands down the trip of a lifetime. Most importantly, we were doing what we love the most, hiking in the gorgeous outdoors.
