Hotel
If you won't have a car during your visit in Charlottesville, we recommend staying in one of the hotels in town. This will give you the best access to food and entertainment downtown. We've had great experiences with The Graduate, The Draftsmen, and the Courtyard Marriott towards UVA. The Omni and The Quirk towards the downtown mall are also very nice options. We've reserved a hotel block at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlottesville North, which you can reserve at the link below. The last day to book in order to receive our group rate will be May 2nd.
House Or Rental
If you'll have access to a car (or a friend with one), we recommend bunking together in one of the many lovely vacation rentals in and around Crozet. You'll have great access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive while only being a short, 20 minute drive from Charlottesville proper. This is a great option if you see yourself enjoying wineries and breweries more than downtown activities while you're in VA.
Flight
The Charlottesville airport is the most adorable airport on the east coast. It never takes more than 10 minutes to get through security, and there's a flight to and from Chicago twice a day. If you've ever wanted the experience of departing a plane on the tarmac like a movie star, this is your chance.
Flight
If you're one of our West Coasters, flying into RIC may be cheaper and easier than flying directly into Charlottesville (CHO). There are two direct flights from SF to Richmond every day. To get to Charlottesville from Richmond, simply hop onto I-64 West. It's about an hour drive.
