Flight

ALW or PSC

ALW Flights to Walla Walla are minimal. It is a one-gate airport, and the TSA folks are sticklers! There are two flights in and two out per day on Alaska Airlines, operated by Horizon, which only shuttles back and forth to Seattle. The drive to the airport from downtown Walla Walla only takes 5 minutes. If you fly here, check out the cute Walla Walla Sweet Onion at the baggage claim! Also, if you fly out of Walla Walla and do some wine tasting while visiting, a case of wine flies free to West Coast cities. Check the ALW website. *FYI, Uber's here are scarce! I believe we only have one in town. This is the airport Chelsea takes her lessons and flies out of! :) PSC You can also fly into Pasco Tri-Cities, which has direct flights to Denver, Minneapolis, LAX, Seattle, etc; however, these are also limited. It is about an hour's drive from PSC to Walla Walla via highway. You will want to rent a car or schedule to take the $20 Grape Line Shuttle (https://grapeline.us/). *Parking at the hotel is free. *Uber's one-way will likely be $150 to Walla Walla. Our recommendation is to book flights ASAP. Flights out of these airports are less expensive for a while, and then they get costly (3-5x the price) a couple of weeks out.

Flight

GEG, SEA, or BOI - Alternative Flying Routes

These airports are farther away and will require a rental car if driving is your jam! GEG in Spokane, WA is about 3 hours away. We recommend taking I-90 down to 395 to 12 to 124. It’s safer. Trust us. SEA in Seattle, WA is about 4.5 hours away. If you take I-90, you’ll encounter the western wetter side of WA and cross over the majestic Cascade mountains into a wholly different landscape in eastern WA. It’s worth the road trip! BOI in Boise, ID is also about 4.5 hours away. You may not have service for a chunk, so download some tunes!

Budget, Avis, Shuttle, and Taxi Service

If you are traveling to ALW and staying at the Marcus Whitman Hotel, they have a shuttle, please give them a call! If you are traveling to ALW and renting a car, the only two rental car companies located at the airport are Budget and Avis. There is an offsite Enterprise closer to the hotel. The beautiful and recently renovated Marcus Whitman historic hotel is located in the heart of downtown Walla Walla. Downstairs, you will find a restaurant and bar and a few winery tasting rooms; just steps outside, you will find a dozen more, plus places to eat, shop (Studio Opal is Chelsea's favorite), grab a beer at the Beer Parlor, or grab an ice cream cone at our favorite spot - The Pine Cone Creamery!

Best Western Plus Walla Walla Suites Inn

Don’t care about fancy digs because you won’t be in the hotel room much anyway? We get that! And we hope you’re out exploring the town! The Best Western is a stone’s throw away from the Marcus Whitman. We don't have a room block here, but this hotel tends to be the more affordable option!

Also in the heart of downtown! We will have a shuttle pick up from this location as well if we have guests down this way. We do not have a room block here, but it is another great option, walking distance to many cafes, tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops.

A shuttle will be provided from the Marcus Whitman Hotel to the ceremony, Kinhaven, and back to the hotel as we do not want people to drink and drive! *The Marcus Whitman is also a 0.4 mi/10-minute walk to the church for those who may prefer to walk to the ceremony. From the ceremony to Kinhaven is NOT walkable.
