FAQs

Question

When is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

Kindly let us know if you can attend by June 14th! We know that Colorado is a destination for many of our friends and family, and while we’d love nothing more than to celebrate with you, we completely understand if you are unable to join us. Your love and support mean the world to us, and whether you’re there in person or toasting with us from afar, we will still love you all the same!

Question

Will you be providing transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle running to and from the Denver Sheraton West and Mount Vernon Canyon Club.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, our celebration is an adults-only event.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate the guests included in wedding festivities. We appreciate your understanding as we celebrate with our closest family and friends!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Welcome drinks attire is dressy casual. Ladies may opt for a sundress or jeans and a "cute top". Gentlemen can wear shorts or chinos with a polo or button-down shirt. Feel free to add a touch of western flair if you’d like! The ceremony and reception will be cocktail attire. For women, this means short or midi-length dresses, stylish jumpsuits, or a chic skirt and blouse, paired with heels or dressy flats. For men, we suggest a dress shirt, suit or blazer, dress pants, and dress shoes. If you’re anything like Jarred, feel free to ditch the tie and jacket after the ceremony and head straight to the dance floor with us!

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Not necessarily, but we do recommend it if you plan to explore! Golden is about 40 minutes from Denver International Airport, and Uber, Lyft, and taxis are readily available (expect to spend $60–100, depending on time of day and weather). Public transportation in Golden is limited, but ride-sharing services are an easy way to get around to explore the town and grab a bite to eat. That said, if you are hoping to explore the stunning nearby mountains or go for a hike, renting a car would be the most convenient option. Whatever you decide on, we will be providing transportation to and from the venue the day of the wedding, so there’s no pressure to drive! Parking at the hotel is complimentary.

Question

What is the address of the wedding venue?

Answer

Mount Vernon Canyon Club is located at 24933 Club House Cir, Golden, CO 80401.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The welcome ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on an outdoor deck while the reception will be indoors. We will have access to an outdoor balcony all night, so bring a sweater if you plan on catching some fresh mountain air.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Typically, Golden, Colorado experiences warm, dry (fingers crossed!) days in August, with highs around 86°F and cooler evenings dropping to about 60°F. For our East Coast guests, the lack of humidity might be a pleasant surprise! The venue has an outdoor deck we can use at night (when you’re not on the dance floor), so if you tend to get chilly, bringing a light sweater is a good idea.

Question

How will the altitude affect me?

Answer

Golden, Colorado sits at 5,675 feet above sea level, and our wedding venue is even higher at 7,600 feet. If you're coming from a lower elevation, you may notice slight shortness of breath when climbing stairs or walking, but many people adjust quickly and feel no difference at all. That said, altitude can amplify the effects of both physical exertion and alcohol. A good rule of thumb: two drinks at sea level = one at altitude — so pace yourself and stay hydrated! We’re also closer to the sun, so please remember to wear sunscreen.

Question

Can I drive to the venue?

Answer

Yes. If you’re not taking the provided hotel shuttle, please plan to arrive at Mount Vernon Canyon Club by 5:00 p.m., as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. The venue offers free parking. Please keep in mind that Mount Vernon Canyon Club is a bit remote, and ride-sharing options like Uber and Lyft may be very limited at the end of the night. If you plan to drive, we recommend designating a driver or taking the shuttle back to the hotel and returning for your car the next day.
