The earliest booking or payment deadline is December 19, 2024 (if Travel Insurance is not selected). With that said, if you are interested in a Preferred Club room, you should attempt to book as soon as possible as these rooms are likely to be waitlisted. If you are waitlisted, we were told all reservation blocks must release their unused rooms in January which could create an opportunity for waitlisted rooms to upgrade.
You can stay as long or as little as you’d like! We’d guess the least anyone would want to stay is two nights, but it is entirely up to you. The ceremony is Sunday evening and there will likely be a welcome event Saturday evening. Michelle and Steve are making a longer trip of it and will be going Thursday to Thursday (May 1st and May 8th travel dates). All are welcome to join or extend into a vacation of your own!
Junior Suite vs. Preferred Club: The rooms themselves are similar but preferred club guests get access to an additional pool, lounge, breakfast location, and premiere cabana locations. Preferred rooms are also closest to the ocean and include tubs on their balconies (in addition to the one in the room). Swim Out Rooms: Pools are shared between three to five rooms and are not connected to the main pool. Most can be seen from public pathways but could be a good idea for people that want a gathering spot or after-hours pool access.
Luckily, not many! Rooms booked through our website include transportation to and from the Cancun airport. The resort is all-inclusive so the only expense we had on our preview trip (other than airfare and lodging) was tipping. A couple USD per round was more than enough to keep service frequent.
Aside from relaxing on the beach or by one of many pools (Jungle Pool, Activity/Social Pool, Infinity Pool with swim-up bar), there is also a fitness center, volleyball & tennis courts, spa (for additional cost), and daily programming such as cooking classes, cocktail classes, and wine or tequila tastings. Off-resort excursions such as golf, a catamaran ride, or camel rides can be booked through our booking webpage, Valerie, or while at the resort.
The food was amazing! The resort has several restaurants which focus on different cuisines (Mexican, Italian, French, Seafood, and Hibachi/Sushi). There is also a breakfast buffet (with chilaquiles station!) and a Michelle-approved coffee shop!
Please direct any booking questions to Valerie Leconte. Feel free to reach out to Michelle or Steve with any other questions. We'd be more than happy to share our opinions or lessons learned from our pre-visit experience, including travel, service, food and drinks, and things to do, or if you just want to tell us how excited you are to come!
