Evan grew up in Oregon and moved to Oahu as a teenager with surfing as his main pursuit - but the Lord had other plans. After moving on island and realizing both surfing and “paradise” couldn’t fulfill him, Jesus got a hold of his heart. He got involved at a church out there where he learned about their new discipleship program. He prayed about it, felt confirmation, and sent it! I (Ava) grew up in New Jersey and headed to San Diego for college in 2020. After graduation, I felt a nudge towards Hawaii while praying about what the Lord had for me next. I ended up coming across the same discipleship program, applied, and sent it! It was there that Evan and I met, got to know each other, and started serving side by side. What started as running after Jesus separately turned into running after Him together. We feel beyond blessed and so undeserving for all the Lord has so graciously and kindly provided for us. And we are extra expectant for all He has in store. It is our joy and our honor to share what He has done for us and the love He has, and continues to, lavish on us. It is our hope and our prayer that everyone, especially those near and dear to us, get to experience the same love, freedom, and new life we have found in Christ. “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19 “Have I not commanded you?
