Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 1st, 2025.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have budgeted for our closest friends and family to attend our special day. Please do not bring a date unless they were explicitly invited. Under the RSVP tab, all of those invited will be able to RSVP for themselves and their significant other.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking available at the reception site (on the ranch). Please car pool if possible to reduce parking congestion. The ceremony site is a short walk up a gradual hill from the reception area. For those who would prefer transportation, there is a van that will take multiple trips to the ceremony site starting about 30 minutes prior to the ceremony time.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The temperature is likely to vary a lot, especially between the city and the mountains and daytime and nighttime. Be sure to pack layers to accommodate the changes in temperature. On our wedding day, it will likely be warm in the sun during the ceremony. Cocktail hour and dancing will take place outside on the deck and it will become much cooler after sunset, so please bring a warmer layer. I've included the average September temperatures below. Denver Average September Temperatures: High/Daytime 83° and Low/Nighttime 50° Nathrop Average September Temperatures: High/Daytime 75° and Low/Nighttime 41° Our wedding is just outside of the rainy season, but bring your rain jacket just in case! Also, there are pools and hot tubs at the ranch for everyone to enjoy and we plan to hangout at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort across the street the morning after the wedding, so be sure to pack your bathing suit!

Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

Denver Airport (DEN) will offer the most flight options at the best prices. From there, we recommend renting a car since the venue is about 2.5 hours from the airport. AWD vehicles are recommended for the mountains, but not necessary. A 2WD vehicle will get you up to the mountains and onto the ranch. Buena Vista is a larger town about 20 minutes from our wedding venue in Nathrop, CO. Other airport options near Buena Vista include: Aspen (ASE): This is the closest airport to Buena Vista, about 47.5 miles away. Eagle (EGE): Located about 69.5 miles from Buena Vista. Colorado Springs (COS): Approximately 77.5 miles from Buena Vista. Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC): About 45 miles from Buena Vista.

Question

What else should I know?

Answer

The wedding venue is rustic and the terrain is somewhat rocky. Ladies, you may want to consider wearing flats, a wedge heel, cowgirl boots, etc. rather than a classic high heel. For the lodge and reception area accessibility, behind the lodge there is a straight shot (no stairs) from the back entrance to the lodge, dining hall and deck areas. The lawn area outside of the reception building does not have any stairs, as well. Guests using wheelchairs or needing assistance can be driven directly to the ceremony site.
