Officially known as Peck's Landing, the Sandbar appears on the Wisconsin River whenever the water level is at the proper level. This is where we had our first official date and where Lynn proposed to Lea a little more than four years later. A few tips for a good Sandbar experience... -Wear warm clothes (jeans, coat, gloves, hat, etc.) and shoes you can either take off or you don't mind getting wet. It's almost always impossible to make it from the river's edge to the sandbar without going through at least a few inches of water. We're hoping this won't be the case, but it's good to be prepared! -Bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on if you've got them! For our local friends, we're asking you to bring extras if you've go them to share with our out-of-town guests -This is a BYOB event, but remember NO GLASS ON THE RIVER! Cans and plastic picnic bottles of wine are your friends -We'll have some S'more supplies on hand, but feel free to bring other goodies to share if you want!
