Lynn and Lea are Getting Married!

Lynn and Lea met at American Players Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin in 2016. Lynn was in her first season as Wardrobe Supervisor (and fourth working at APT) and Lea was starting her first season as a Production Assistant. They were nothing more than backstage buddies. Over the next season and a half, their friendship grew. In August of 2017, Lynn basically invited herself on Lea's October-planned week-long solo vacation to her favorite national park with the promise to split the cost of gas and hotels. They were hanging out a lot, binge watching The Office, and talking until the wee hours. Lea had no idea Lynn had a crush on her, she just noticed that, wow, they were hanging out a lot. Three weeks before their road trip on a fated night at the local bar, The Shed, Lynn summoned the courage to tell Lea that she had a massive crush on her (actually she made Lea guess and Lea was a pretty good guesser). This was completely uncharted territory for them both and they valued their friendship very highly to risk it. After many messages to close confidants and continuing their friendship, they gradually tested the waters. Two weeks later, a bonfire on the Wisconsin River at twilight was declared their first date. And about one week after that bonfire, they set out for Rocky Mountain National Park and had the most wonderful second date ever! And the rest of the story? There was long distancing for six months where Lea was working in Oregon and Lynn in Chicago, then moving in together at APT and then Chicago, more seasons at APT for both Lynn and Lea (with Lea working her way up to Stage Operations Supervisor), another trip to Rocky Mountain National Park with Lea's family and, oh yeah, weathering a worldwide pandemic together. Exactly 5 years to the day of that first trip to the Rocky Mountains, Lynn and Lea will be married in the tiny town in Wisconsin where they first met.
