The pandemic certainly was a doozy. We're thrilled to report that we are actually…already married. We know! Blasphemy! We just couldn't wait anymore! But we're using a very stiff venue contract and a desire to see you all in one place as the perfect excuse to maintain this wedding energy. We'll be taking some liberties with the evening, but it will be fun and filled with love. That's all that matters to us!!
Yes, please.
Yes! We will grab two wedding blocks in hotels somewhat near the venue, and bring those to the website in April 2022. Please let us know if you'd be interested in booking in the block when you RSVP. There are a multitude of other accommodations in NYC for you, too (AirBnb and VRBO). If you want to go off the grid or stay in a different neighborhood for fun, go for it! Per usual, the 24/7 subway and cars can take you anywhere you need to go.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only affair. This is solely due to the small venue space and the high ratio of sweets, otherwise we'd love to have them.
While we're happy you're looking for love, our guest policy is strict and we must abide by RSVP's. We can only accommodate those names listed on the RSVP. If this poses a problem or you'd like to pitch your accompaniment, please email us.
Short answer: cocktail attire Lynn's answer: Dress to impress! Have you been waiting for a chance to wear that sequin cocktail dress, or bow-tie, or vintage McQueen mesh suit? Go for it!
The average temperature in June ranges from 80 degrees to 64 degree. Sunset that day will be at 8:30pm.
No, everything is happening at the Prospect Park Boathouse. We'll likely head to a nearby bar for an afterparty, but it'll be walkable.
If you're using GPS, put in 101 Ocean Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225. If you're riding the subway, you can take the B (orange line), Q (yellow line), and S (gray line) to "Prospect Park" Station. From there, exit to Lincoln Road, and turn left to the Park entrance. Once you're at the park, walk straight across the bike path and follow park lamp posts with "Boathouse" signs until you reach the Cleftridge Tunnel. Walk through the tunnel to the right, and you'll find the Boathouse. On the night of the wedding, we'll have a few human guides to help with the journey (on the front end and back end of the evening).
Both? Both! The venue is both. It's a boathouse in a public park. If the weather is poor, we'll be inside.
Doors open at 6pm, and the ceremony will begin at 6:30pm.
Yes! The park entrance and event space both have wheelchair accessible options.
We have 30 parking slots in Prospect Park near the venue. If you are planning to drive to the venue, please let the couple know so we can provide you with a coveted parking ticket (otherwise you will get a less entertaining ticket from the Park police). There is also street parking on Ocean Avenue, which is on the eastern perimeter of the park itself, and paid garages nearby. Please feel free to drop us a line with any questions or concerns.
Likely a combination of natural wine that smells like feet, mezcal on the rocks with lime, and espresso.
Wow we love your enthusiasm and desire to craft the fiesta with us! We'll likely let our DJ take requests but, please note, if we hate the song you request, you have to go. Just kidding! But really, there will be a list of pre-approved songs we omit from the evening.
Yes! You can find it in the "Registry" tab.
Ask away! Please contact the couple, we're here to help. info@benjaminnorman.com / l.malizoo@gmail.com
There are no additional planned events for the wedding weekend. Enjoy yourselves!
