Nope. No motels either. There is an island resort; Fripp Island Resort. You will find the rentals available through the resort are similar in price to rooms for rent off-island. Before you rent off-island however, be aware you do need a Bridge Pass to get onto the island so you will need to coordinate with us if this is the case. Please see the Travel section for more information.
Yes! Fripp is a designated wildlife preserve. That means you will see alligators, deer, and all sorts of other wildlife. The one thing we do ask, is to follow the request of the island and not feed any of the animals, no matter how cute they look.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Cheetos may seem like a good option. You might want to give them carrots, corn or other various forms of veggies - but this is a horrible idea. DO. NOT. FEED. THE. DEER.
Pluff Mud (noun) - Mud in the Low Country, mostly around Marshes. It has a distinct smell and is particularly known for its unpredictability in how deep you may sink and what you might lose. As Amy's sister Megan says, "What the Pluff Mud wants, the Pluf Mud takes." It is also a dessert. :) It can be a cake or pie and is almost always chocolate.
