Lynn's side: We met online. We started emailing. I didn't think she liked me; her responses were really short. So... I stopped emailing back. Amy was at Fripp on vacation and she sent me another email; one sentence. I was flying back from Minneapolis and my flight was delayed so I had some time on my hands - I wrote a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly long response. When she replied it was reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly long. Turns out she likes me after all. Amy's side: We met online. We started emailing. I didn't think she liked me -- she stopped emailing back. I was bummed. Fast forward about a month and I was down at the Fripp House having me time. After some quiet reflection under my favorite tree, I figured I would reach out one more time to see how her summer was going. What did I have to loose besides a little pride. Was I shocked when I got an almost immediate response back! Turns out she was interested. Before I left Fripp about a week and a half later we had set a time to meet in person. Multiple emails ensued during that week and a half. It is one of the few times I can say that I wanted vacation to hurry up and end, so I could meet her in person.
We were in Disney World. We had reservations at the Contemporary that night and Lynn had a plan: Proposing during fireworks. Unfortunately, the timing of the fireworks changed, so we headed into the park. We watched the fireworks from the middle of Town Square in Main Street USA. Lynn asked Amy if she wanted to have her own happily ever after and asked her if we should wear "Magic Bands" for the rest of our lives. She said we should!
