Take a hike on the trails. Take a dip in the river. Take in the sights of the city. You just gotta cross that weird suspended bridge first.
Head down to the canal walk for a beautiful walk by the... well, the canal, obviously. At the end, you'll be treated to some cool murals from a street art festival a few years back.
You gotta work for this one, but it's worth it. From this parking lot, head through the flood wall doors then down the ladder to the top of Pipeline for a great walk right on top of the James. You can keep walking the pipe all the way to Brown's Island if you feel up for it.
We're making this website in November, so... they may have their brick and mortar open by the time you read this. (Side note: They DO have their brick and mortar and it's in Carytown! You'll love it.) Either way, a slice of Zorch pizza is worth finding. It's NY Style, it's great. If it wasn't so messy, they'd be catering our wedding.
*Reservations Recommended* Shoutout to Weining and Bridget for checking - There are no longer reservations available this weekend! If you're looking for similar food, we recommend Pinky's. Or one of the Stella's Markets for grab N go. Stella's is Lyncoln's favorite restaurant in the city. She recommends the moussaka and the lamb meatballs. If you can't get a seat or just want the vibe, there are several Stella's groceries in the city that serve up great sandwiches with Mediterranean flair.
Grab a 6 pack of PBR and a blanket and head to Libby Hill for a great sunset over the city. (Drinking in public is illegal, so... be smart, friends).
The VMFA is packed with incredible art and it's entirely free to visit (save for the special exhibits). Head over, pretend you understand the deep meaning behind the art for awhile, then enjoy a picnic on the lawn out back.
Richmond's premiere local shopping walk. Lyncoln recommends Penzey's Spices, Bev's Ice Cream and Mongrel. Logan's a fan of Garden Grove Brewing, Plan 9 and World of Mirth. Find your own favorites!
