Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ashley Lynch and Vitaly Herbert
Coming to San Diego a bit early or staying a few days after? Check out some of our favorite places while you're in town!

Balboa Park

San Diego, CA

Balboa Park is a historic park within the heart of San Diego. Stroll through one of its many museums or go for a walk in the Japanese Friendship Gardens; There is so much to explore and always something to do. Personal favorites include the Timken Museum, Museum of Art and The Natural History Museum. Museums not your thing? Go for a walk among the 1,200 acres the park offers or stop by the Spanish Village to watch live glass blowing.

San Diego Zoo

2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego, CA 92101

World famous and needing no introduction, the San Diego Zoo is a fantastic place to visit whether it is your first time in San Diego or if you live down the street. Fun Fact: Ashley worked at The San Diego Zoo the summer before moving to UC Davis and loved it; If you go, tell them Ashley sent you

Little Italy

San Diego, CA 92101

From Farmer's Markets to breweries, Little Italy is a great spot for dinner or to walk around with gelato in hand. A Lynchbert favorite? Vino Carta wine shop which has a second location in Solana Beach

Thyme In the Ranch

16905 Avenida De Acacias, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067

This bakery is a favorite among the Lynch family and all who we drag along to it. It has been a staple in Rancho Santa Fe since its inception in 1995 and comes highly recommended by us. Stop by for a latte or try one of their famous cranberry-orange muffins after the ceremony!

The Beach

If nothing else, take advantage of being in San Diego in late September. The sun is out and the beaches are glorious. A few Lynchbert favorites include: Sunset Cliffs, Windansea, Del Mar 15th St., La Jolla Shores, Moonlight, Stone Steps and Cardiff State

Convoy District

Convoy Street, San Diego, CA 92111

For some of the best Asian cuisine San Diego has to offer, we highly recommend exploring Convoy District.

Valle de Guadalupe

Ensenada, B.C. 22750, Mexico

For those of you with passports in hand, ready to make this wedding weekend a full blown vacation, we highly recommend crossing the border and heading into this glorious wine region of Mexico. Only a 2 hour drive down the coast from San Diego, you will find a true favorite of Ashley's nestled in the Baja California hills. Visit for some of the best food and wine you will ever have the pleasure of enjoying.

Temecula Wineries

Temecula, CA

Only an hour north east of San Diego, you will find Temecula wine region. Not far from where Vitaly grew up and where Ashley would DD for her family regularly, Temecula offers a great time, great wine and gorgeous views.

Old Town

San Diego, CA

Although touristy, it is a fun area to walk around and shop. We still recommend hopping the border and visiting Mexico for the real thing, but Old Town is an easy option if you happened to have left your passport at home.
