We're Getting Married!

Lydia and Cameron’s story began at Arcadia University, where they both ended up thanks to sports. Through mutual friends (who are now part of their wedding party — full circle), they started talking, though Lydia was initially a little skeptical of the 20-year-old freshman hockey player... What began as easy conversation quickly turned into something more. Not long after, Cameron cooked Lydia dinner for their first date — a tradition he still keeps up today. Although they grew up in different states — Lydia in Virginia and Cameron in Michigan — their paths somehow led them to the same place at exactly the right time. In 2024, they moved to Charlotte and have loved building a life together there — spending weekends trying new restaurants, finding their favorite coffee spots, and exploring the city together. Since moving to Charlotte, they’ve also added their dog Olive to the mix after adopting her from the Humane Society of Charlotte. After almost four years together, they couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people they love most.
