What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
We recommend arriving around 4:00 PM to allow time to park, grab a welcome drink, and get settled before the ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM.

What’s the dress code?
Answer
Formal and festive attire, please! The ceremony will take place in a moody, industrial-style space with exposed brick and high ceilings—formerly a warehouse, now a unique and beautiful event venue. Picture cocktail dresses, suits, jumpsuits, or whatever makes you feel confident and celebratory. Feel free to play with color and texture—we want you to look and feel fabulous.

Where is the venue and what’s the vibe?

Our wedding will be held at The Riverside in Detroit, an old warehouse thoughtfully converted into a modern event space. Expect a romantic, slightly edgy setting with lots of character—think string lights, city views, and a relaxed but elegant feel. All events (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing) will take place at this one location.

Is there parking at the venue?
Answer
Yes! Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building. Security will be on-site during the event to monitor the area. If you’d prefer not to drive, rideshares are easy to arrange in this part of town.

Is there anything happening before the wedding?
Answer
Yes! We’re hosting a Welcome Dinner on Friday, September 5 at 5:00 PM at the Flynn Memorial Recreational Pavilion on Belle Isle. It’ll be a relaxed, indoor/outdoor gathering with a light dinner, drinks, and music in a strolling-style reception. Come ready to mingle and kick off the weekend with us!
