We are so excited to share a few of our favorite places in Maine with you!

The Portland Old Port

Portland, ME 04101

The Portland old port is Maines hot spot. During the day the old port is fun to walk just for the experience. They having so many different restaurants all which have amazing food. There are also a bunch of cute stores to shop in! During the summer there are also different concerts and art walks. The events are endless and worth checking out the event schedule. The nightlife is also awesome, there are tons of different bars and breweries to try. There are also a couple speakeasies hidden within the walls of the old port which are always fun to find. Its safe to say its always an amazing experience no matter the time of day! Around the old port you may also want to check out the East end, West end, East Bayside, West Bayside and downtown!

Eastern Promenade

Eastern Promenade Trail, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 756-8275

The Eastern Prom is one of my absolute favorite spots during the summer. There is always plenty of street parking and it is right on the water. It is a great place to go on walks or runs, there is a little play ground, a softball field, a gorgeous garden, and a trial to walk which leads you right to the old port. If you are looking to do the prom and the old port in one day I suggest parking at the prom and walking the trail to down town. One of the big reasons it is one of my favorite spots in the summer is because of the food trucks! On weekends there are always at least five food trucks, the food is always amazing and the view is even better. Some food trucks that are usually there are Mr. Tuna, Cargo brick oven pizza, Eighty8donuts, Falafel Mafia, Gelato fiasco, Maine maple creme co, Portland twist and more! These are a few of my favorites which are worth looking up and checking their schedules for the week. They often switch between the east end and west end!

Fort Williams Park

1000 Shore Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107
, (207) 799-0881

If you enjoy history fort Williams is a really cool place to check out. They have some pretty cool forts to check out as well as the light house. If you have kids it is a fantastic place to bring them, they have a play ground and a lot of open space with always the perfect amount of wind for flying a kite. There are also some great picnic areas and they usually have at least one food truck which serves some Maine lobster rolls.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

105 Botanical Gardens Drive, Boothbay, ME 04537
, (207) 633-8000

Coastal Maine Botanical Garden has some of the most beautiful gardens you'll ever see. They have trails all through the area and are popular for the giant wooden trolls hidden throughout the forest. It is very family friendly and following the map all throughout the park to find all the trolls if really fun and the statues are incredible. The Boothbay area is also a cute area to explore and have some great food spots!

Acadia National Park

Bar Harbor, ME 04609

Bar Harbor is one of the most beautiful places in Maine. Located in Bar Harbor is Acadia National Park this is one of the top 10 visited parks in the United States. They have so many gorgeous hikes and trails overlooking the ocean. It is a great area to walk, hike, bike, snowshoe, cross-country skiing and so much more. There is even an option to go by horse and carriage on a road through the forest on Mount Dessert Island. My ideal weekend would be to go camping in Bar harbor and wake up early to hike in Acadia and catch the sunrise from the top of a mountain overlooking the beautiful ocean and landscape.
