We met through Lydia's sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Logan. We ended up being the maid of honor and best man at their wedding, so needless to say, we cannot thank them enough for getting married. However, the one challenge we would face right away was that Lydia lived in Philadelphia at the time. The second challenge was that Lydia was starting graduate school and would remain in Philadelphia for two years. We quickly realized that distance seemed to bring us closer than we imagined. Since we weren't able to go on dates, we talked. A LOT! Between hours of phone calls, FaceTimes, texts, and voicemails, we developed a meaningful friendship that over the next 5 months turned into a relationship. We maintained our long-distance relationship by alternating who would get the pleasure of booking a red-eye each month, and fill our weekends together with fun and adventure to make the most of every moment together. Lydia moved back to Michigan during the summer of 2020 when the world shut down and we continued to build our life, even with the unique challenges that existed with covid. We are so happy with all we have experienced as a couple, and are grateful for all of our loved ones who have supported us along the way. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you in November!
