Yes! Please check out our Schedule Tab. We will be having a Welcome Picnic on the 27th and a Farewell Brunch on the 29th.
While San Francisco is in California, it is known for its fog! It can be warm (up to the 70's) during the day but also chilly in the evening. We recommend you pack layers. Wraps and light jackets are usually enough to be comfortable so leave the heavy coats at home.
We have recommended some hotels (reference in the Travel tab) however, if you are looking to book an airbnb we would recommend the Mission, Hayes Valley, Haight and Fillmore neighborhoods! They are all fairly central in the city for public transit and ride shares. Generally avoid the 'tenderloin' or 'tendernob' neighborhoods when booking. While in close proximity to the venue, they tend to be a bit sketchy.
Welcome to City Hall! As a functioning federal building, there are certain, mandatory, security measures in place. This includes a metal detector. Rest assured our wedding rings will still get through, as will your jewelry and shoes. You will likely need to put your wraps, purses and other key items through a scanner.
There are elevators available for transport to any level of the building. You will only need to use this to get to the rotunda from the parking lot or up from the rotunda to the cocktail hour on the balcony (one floor) and then back down for dinner. Restrooms are located on the rotunda level.
Yes! We will have a welcome table for you to place objects. If you don't feel comfortable leaving your gift on the table, please find Morgan Curley, our planner, and she will look after the items and see that they are delivered to us the next day.
Yes, there is complimentary parking under City Hall with elevator access but we strongly encourage the use of Ubers or Lyfts. Coaches will be provided to take guests from the reception to the after party, should you choose to attend.
Yes, indeed! More to come.
If it’s before May 14th, 2023, please reach out to Lydia and Clay! If it’s after May 14th please reach out to our lovely planner, Morgan. Please be sure to let her know you are with the Walz/Bloszies party. (650) 438-3779
On the registry you may see mention of a mini-moon as well as a honeymoon. Planning our wedding at the same time as an adventurous honeymoon is too much for us to do right. Our plan after the brunch festivities wrap up on Monday is to drive down to Big Sur for a few days. While there, we will party recap and relax. Later in the year, we will take our honeymoon.
