Traveling to Maine: Out of town guests are going to have to fly into either Boston Logan or Portland Jetport. Flying directly into Portland is definitely more convenient, but may be more expensive. Most out-of-towners will probably want to rent a car in order to make travel to and from the venue easier.
We recommend looking around the greater Portland area to find lodging options, but there are two relatively large hotels very close to the wedding venue, which may be convenient for people who don't want to travel far on the day of the wedding.
We're hoping that many people who decide to attend from out of state use our wedding as an excuse to enjoy our beautiful state in the peak of fall. We think you'll find Coastal Maine at this time of year a great place for a little vacation. To that end, we will include a list of some of our favorite things to do around here.
