Bride
Lupita grew up in the quiet town of Mabton, where her thoughtful nature and calm strength took root—very fitting for an INTJ. She’s now an optometrist who finds joy in simple pleasures: scenic walks, singing (usually in the car), exploring new places, and tasting her way through every food spot she can find. After a year of surviving Minnesota winters (barely), she’s thrilled to come back to Washington, marry her best friend, and—God willing—start a family and maybe finally learn how to cook something that isn’t microwaved.
Groom
Luis builds things—whether it’s construction projects or a life full of love with Lupita. Born in El Salvador and raised across cultures, he sees the world with curiosity and gratitude. As an Engineer, he’s all about structure and detail—but he’s also the guy who laughs when he gets lost (which is often). Still, he’s always found his way to what matters most. With Lupita, life feels like home. She’s his compass, his calm, and his greatest adventure. He can’t wait to start this next chapter by her side.
Maid of Honor
When Lupita first saw Christy in her optometry class, she immediately thought how cool it would be to meet the only other Mexican girl there. She wasn’t sure if they’d have anything in common, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that Christy also shared her Catholic faith. Christy became a guide and a sister in faith, showing Lupita ways to grow spiritually and embrace Catholicism more fully. From brunch after Mass to heart-to-hearts and hikes, their friendship has become something Lupita treasures like family.
Best man (Padrino de Brindis)
Ruben, Luis's younger brother, is more than just family—he’s his best friend. Through both the toughest and happiest moments in life, Ruben has been there for Luis, offering constant support and a steady presence. Even when distance makes it challenging to stay connected, Ruben always makes the effort, no matter where life takes him. Luis truly can’t imagine navigating this journey without Ruben by his side.
Bridesmaid
Lupita can’t even remember when she first met Mayra, but their friendship is full of great memories. In high school, they’d convince their teachers to let them out early so they could practice dance routines for quinceañeras and school talent shows—Mayra led the choreography, and Lupita was just happy to be there. Looking back, Lupita can only remember how much they laughed throughout their entire friendship in high school. One of their most unforgettable moments came after a pizza run when Lupita accidentally ran over a curb in her mom’s old truck. Their classmates dubbed them “Cheech & Chong” because of their recklessness, but the two just burst out laughing at their own craziness.
Groomsman
Luis met Lorenzo when he returned to school at CBC, and they quickly bonded over their shared love of Game of Thrones. Over the years, they’ve been there for each other through thick and thin. Lorenzo has always been a friend Luis can turn to, whether it’s for academic advice or spiritual support as a fellow Catholic.
Bridesmaid
Lupita met Nicole through Christy, who was in the same optometry class. From the beginning, Nicole had a way of making faith feel personal and alive—showing Lupita that following Christ doesn’t mean letting go of who you are. Her joyful spirit, love for Japanese culture, and their shared passion for karaoke brought so much light into Lupita’s life. Some of Lupita’s most cherished memories include late nights singing their hearts out at karaoke clubs and the honor of standing by Nicole’s side as a bridesmaid at her wedding in Ohio. Nicole’s friendship has been a beautiful reminder that faith and fun can go hand in hand.
Groomsman
Gustavo is Luis's first friend in the USA, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years. No matter the occasion, they’ve always made a point to be there for each other, sharing life’s biggest moments. Whether it's casting lines or swapping stories, you can usually find Gustavo and Luis fishing together.
Bridesmaid
Naomia convinced Lupita to do her first—and only—pageant, and it ended up being a pivotal moment in her life. Naomia helped her explore who she was, what she stood for, and how to believe in her own beauty. Pageant life is not for the faint of heart, and Lupita is grateful she experienced it alongside someone who would later become Mrs. Washington. Naomia is a steadfast friend who believes in herself, inspires others to do the same, and brings fierce passion and determination to all things beauty.
Groomsman
Brandon and Luis first crossed paths on their very first construction job, and from that moment, they’ve been through it all—both the highs and lows, on the job and in life. Over the years, Brandon has been more than just a coworker—he’s coached Luis in golf, been a great work buddy, and offered invaluable technical advice. He’s also been there to help with Luis’s DIY projects. Whether it’s enjoying Mariners games, playing golf in the evening, or tackling challenges at work, Brandon has always been a steadfast friend.
Bridesmaid
Lupita often says she wouldn’t have made it through studying for optometry national boards without April’s support. They first connected online while prepping for the exams and quickly realized just how much they had in common. Both went back to school years after their first degrees to become optometrists, both snagged their first real estate properties at a young age, and both have a taste for the finer things in life. They love tracking down freebies at conferences, enjoying shopping sprees, dining, traveling, and growing their prayer lives. Even though they live on opposite sides of the country, it often feels like they’ve been living parallel lives all along.
Groomsman
Mostafa and Luis have shared some unforgettable adventures, from getting lost in the heart of New York City to partying in LA. Along with Lupita, Mostafa has helped open Luis's eyes to the joys of traveling and exploring the world.
Bridesmaid
Gabi walked into the clinic where Lupita was a resident, and they immediately hit it off. Lupita loved how quickly Gabi welcomed her, inviting her to Movie Tuesdays at the cozy Marcus Theaters—popcorn included! They spent countless hours together at cafes, Panera, Chick-fil-A, and Target. Having someone from school nearby in Minnesota for half the year was a breath of fresh air. They even helped each other find their wedding dresses, and Gabi taught Lupita so much about wedding planning along the way—everything from timelines to tiny details Lupita hadn’t even thought about. Gabi also introduced her to some quirky bird-themed board game and a fun card game called Five Crowns—a surprise since Lupita wasn’t much of a fan of card or board games before.
Groomsman
Lorenzo’s younger brother, Che, and Luis have shared some great adventures. There’s one moment, though, that stands out: Che saved Luis’s life when he fell off a white-water raft and was about to crash into a rock. Quick-thinking Che pulled Luis back into the boat just in time.
Bridesmaid
Lupita met Gabby during a clinical rotation in Fresno, CA, at a time when both of them were juggling hectic schedules and craving meaningful connection. With a little help from Bumble BFF (and a mutual friend they met through the app), their paths crossed. From shooting ranges and festivals to brunches and even Gabby visiting Lupita on the Oregon coast during another rotation, their friendship quickly became a mix of adventure and real connection. Through it all, Gabby has been someone Lupita can count on, confide in, and create unforgettable memories with.
Groomsman
Luis met Erick during their time at CBC, where they worked together as tutors in the CBC tutor center. Over the years, they’ve shared in great adventures, from tackling physics projects at school to adventuring with the rest of the guys. You’ll often find Erick and Luis together at Mass, and after, grabbing breakfast on Sundays.
Bridesmaid
When Lupita heard her cousins would be moving in for a short time, she was over the moon—finally, “temporary siblings”! She may have taken it a little too seriously, casting and directing homemade movies with all her cousins, with Danelia regularly starring in her signature soap operas. As they got older, Lupita began to admire Danelia’s sense of style and talent with makeup—she always had a natural flair for both. Now a mom, Danelia continues to inspire Lupita, even though she’s younger. Despite the distance between them now, their bond hasn’t changed—they know they can always count on each other and pick up right where they left off.
