Wedding Party

Meet our friends who will be walking down the aisle with us.

Chloe

Bridesmaid

Lupita and I met in a psychology class our junior year at Tufts, but didn’t become friends until we moved to a small Spanish town together and discovered our mutual affinity for memes. Between brunches at Rollerie and tinto movie nights, our friendship grew into a lifetime bond. I’m so happy for her and Sam and can’t wait to get down to Daddy Yankee with them on the dance floor.

Aren

Groomsman

Sam and I (his token finance friend) met while studying abroad as part of Tufts' program at the University of Oxford. Using the skills we learned when back at Tufts, we founded and were the only two members of the Tufts Croquet Society, which disbanded shortly after graduation.

Elyse

Bridesmaid

Lupita was my freshman year roommate, & despite her thinking I was insane upon first meeting me, we quickly became forever best friends and roomed every year it was humanly feasible. Our friendship is unique in that she remains my favorite person to do everything with: live, cry, bar hop, complain, & of course, watch The Bachelor & eat quesadillas with. I met Sam sophomore year, & despite spoiling the end of Gossip Girl upon first meeting him, a friendship of movie nights & him pining after my roommate quickly blossomed. While I can definitely say that I did not expect my eventual giving-in to Sam’s nagging of “come on, introduce me to your roommate!” would lead to marriage, I’m so incredibly happy that it did. I love you both & couldn’t be happier to share this day with you.

Ben

Groomsman

Hello everyone! I am Sam’s partner in crime in the Tufts MD/MBA program. When we’re not quizzing each other on antibiotic contraindications or yield to maturity rates, we love to talk about fantasy football drama and fantasy suites drama from The Bachelor. Sam has been my best friend in medical school, and it has been a privilege to see him and his beautiful fiancée blossom together in Boston.

Isa

Bridesmaid

Despite growing up just five minutes away from one another and crossing paths a number of times, Lupita and I did not begin a full-fledged friendship until high school. A visit to Titanic Belfast on a school trip to Northern Ireland—during which we commiserated over the fact that neither of us had ever actually seen Titanic—solidified a bond that began many years before, when I would seek Lupita’s counsel on anything from dance moves to school supplies for my freshman year of high school. Friendship was clearly always in the cards. I am happy to say the same of Sam, who gives great advice about my revolving door of crushes over FaceTime. I look up to & love them both, and am overjoyed to share in this very special day.

Corey

Groomsman

It’s an honor and a privilege. As my sensei on the basketball court, bitter sports rival, and fellow member of the <6 foot gang, Sam and I have gotten into it many times during our years together at Tufts Med. School wouldn’t be the same without the countless hours of high yield bangers and Sam’s always empathetic and careful approach to patient care (ha). To Sam’s future patients, YOU’RE WELCOME. Seriously though.....who knew a “Philly guy” could ever allow a kid from Boston to sneak into his wedding party? One thing I certainly can’t contest is the Lup&Luna&Sam fam to be - congratulations guys! I’m pumped to share in your special day. See you on the dance floor, Sam.

Liz

Bridesmaid

I’m Liz and I’m Lupita’s cousin! While the story of how we met is a bit hard to recall, Lupita and I have had so many fun memories together throughout the years. From our ceremonial last time playing Barbies to navigating adulthood and coming to the realization that we are inevitably becoming our mothers (talking on the phone to catch up on the latest chisme), I can’t think of a better built-in-best friend than Lupita.

Francis

Groomsman

Sam and I grew up together, we went to high school together, we played sports together, and now we are growing up together into adults. I am so happy that I am a part of your wedding, and I am so excited to see you marry the love of your life. I love you buddy, congratulations.

Mia

Bridesmaid

Lupita and I met at summer camp but became friends on the Internet, sharing ill-advised advice about our (non-existent) love lives and (extremely-existent) Neopets. She is my favorite perma-long-distance internet friend and my go-to listener for all of my minor inconveniences. I “met” Sam on the Internet via messages from Lupita about the guy who sent her candy from his study abroad and had strong opinions about Gilmore Girls, and we’re now working on making him golfing buddies with my dad. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, online and IRL!

Mario

Groomsman

My mom says I met Sam when we both needed our diapers changed at the same time in the middle of church back in 1996. Growing up, we were always together in class or on the same sports teams. After high school ended and we moved far away from each other, we have still made an effort to make yearly trips to see each other. I have gotten to go to some amazing places and see some awesome sporting events because of my friendship with Sam. I couldn’t be happier for him and his lovely fiancée, Lupita.

Sara

Bridesmaid

It’s hard to remember a time when Lupita was not a part of my life, given our approximately 18 years of friendship. In that extensive amount of time, we have truly experienced every good, bad, and awkward stage of life together, and amassed too many memories and inside jokes to recount. Personally, I knew Sam was “The One” when I realized he was the perfect candidate to make my Catan double-date dreams come true. Jokes aside, when we are lucky enough to get together, I’m able to see firsthand how happy Sam makes Lupita—how their relationship is full of smiles, love, and laughter—and I’m so excited to be able to stand beside her on her big day!

Merritt

Groomsman

I met Sam on our first day at Tufts when he moved into the room across the hall wearing a Duke basketball t-shirt. Over the next four years I argued with him, roomed with him, traveled across Europe with him, and most importantly learned from him.

Suzanne

Bridesmaid

After four years of inexplicably intense elementary school rivalry, I have been privileged to spend many more years of friendship with such a loyal, compassionate and thoughtful friend. Lupita and I have spent countless hours sitting in suburban basements, driving around in silence, and making the trek to Chick-Fil-A, along with many more exciting activities. When I first met Sam during a visit to Providence (the obviously superior New England coastal city), I was impressed by both his golf knowledge and his obvious love for my friend. I could not be more excited to be part of Lupita and Sam’s wedding and help them celebrate this next step in their lives.

Matthew

Groomsman

I had the privilege of meeting Sam our first year of high school, although I never truly got to know him until freshman baseball in the spring. Sam has always been a phenomenal athlete, which I was reminded of when I got to witness his seamless transfer from a high school baseball star to one of the best golfers I know. Since our time working at the local golf club, he’s gone from attempting shirtless recovery shots from streams to a well-traveled highly educated Oxford man. It truly is an honor and a pleasure to be with him on one of the happiest days of his life.
