We're Getting Married

Ozzie and I had been acquaintances for quite some time, but it wasn’t until the Santa Maria Rodeo in May 2023 that God gently brought our paths back together and our love story truly began. I was determined to attend the sold-out rodeo and, in true hopeful fashion, posted on social media searching for a ticket. Ozzie reached out on Instagram, offering to help me find one. By then I had already secured my ticket, but little did we know that simple message would be the start of something so much bigger. Our friends all met up at the rodeo that night, and what seemed like an ordinary evening became the beginning of forever. My goal that night was simple: find & secure some tacos. Ozzie’s goal? Make his first move. Later that night, Ozzie came up and asked if I wanted a cocktail. I, with a mouthful of tacos, could only nod “yes”. He returned with our drinks, and as we started talking, he mentioned that a family member of his was breeding her Goldendoodle. When I shared how much I had been dreaming of getting a puppy, he offered to connect us so I could meet them. And well… many of you already know how that turned out. You all know her as Hermione Granger. Ozzie and I became close friends instantly. As a first-time dog mom, I needed plenty of help and Ozzie gladly used that as his excuse to be around me more. It worked. We bonded over our dogs, long conversations about life and family. Eventually our friendship grew into something more. Somewhere in those ordinary moments, something beautiful was growing. Today, we are happily engaged and building a beautiful life together with our two fur babies, Otis and Hermione Granger. We feel endlessly blessed that God brought us together in His perfect timing. Our shared love for Him, for our families, and for our sweet pups is the foundation of our relationship and the beginning of the family we are so excited to build.

Ozzie y yo habíamos sido conocidos durante bastante tiempo, pero no fue hasta el Rodeo de Santa María en mayo de 2023 que Dios volvió a cruzar nuestros caminos y nuestra historia de amor realmente comenzó. Yo estaba decidida a asistir al rodeo, que ya estaba completamente agotado, y en un acto de esperanza publiqué en redes sociales buscando un boleto. Ozzie me escribió por Instagram ofreciéndose a ayudarme a conseguir uno. Para entonces yo ya había asegurado mi entrada, pero no sabíamos que ese simple mensaje sería el inicio de algo mucho más grande. Esa noche nuestros amigos se reunieron en el rodeo, y lo que parecía una noche cualquiera se convirtió en el comienzo de nuestro para siempre. Mi objetivo esa noche era simple: encontrar y asegurar unos tacos. ¿El objetivo de Ozzie? Dar su primer paso. Más tarde, Ozzie se acercó y me preguntó si quería un cóctel. Con la boca llena de tacos, lo único que pude hacer fue asentir con la cabeza. Regresó con nuestras bebidas y, mientras comenzábamos a platicar, mencionó que un familiar suyo estaba criando Goldendoodles. Cuando le compartí cuánto había estado soñando con tener un perrito, se ofreció a ponernos en contacto para que pudiera conocerlos. Y bueno… muchos de ustedes ya saben cómo terminó eso. Ahora todos la conocen como Hermione Granger. Ozzie y yo nos hicimos muy cercanos casi al instante. Como mamá primeriza de perrito, necesitaba mucha ayuda, y Ozzie felizmente usó eso como excusa para estar más tiempo conmigo. Y funcionó. Nos unieron nuestros perritos y largas conversaciones sobre la vida y la familia. Con el tiempo, nuestra amistad se convirtió en algo más. En medio de esos momentos sencillos y cotidianos, algo hermoso estaba creciendo. Hoy estamos felizmente comprometidos y construyendo una vida hermosa juntos con nuestros dos perrhijos, Otis y Hermione Granger. Nos sentimos inmensamente bendecidos de que Dios nos haya unido en Su tiempo perfecto. Nuestro amor compartido por Él, por nuestras familias y por nuestros dulces perritos es el fundamento de nuestra relación y el comienzo de la familia que estamos tan emocionados de formar.
