Things to Do

The Wedding Website of Mary Lund and Garrett Parkins
There are so many things to do in Southeast Michigan, especially over Labor Day Weekend! We sincerely hope you take time while visiting to explore some of the many museums, parks, and events happening. Here are some things we recommend!

Food to Eat

Buddy's Pizza

45841 Hayes Road, Shelby Twp., MI 48315
, (586) 566-1233

When in Detroit, you have to try Detroit style pizza! Buddy's is a local staple founded on Detroit’s Eastside. Detroit style pizza is a crispy square deep dish crust covered in toppings and Wisconsin brick cheese all layered under strips of tomato sauce. It's a must-try when in the area!

Leo's Coney Island

48865 Hayes Road, Shelby Twp., MI 48315
, (586) 566-2220

Coney Island is a type of diner in the Detroit area. What makes Coney Islands stand out from other diners are the unique chili and the Coney dog -- a hot dog topped with chili, mustard, and chopped onions. We recommend the Coney dog, a cup of chili (no beans), the chicken finger pita, any of the Greek specials, or an omelette at any time of day!
