FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lucrecia Aguilar and Nathaniel Haviland-Markowitz
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The requested attire for our wedding is cocktail or formal dress, depending on your preference. Please feel free to be creative though!

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! We have a limited hotel block at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Watertown. Please see our Travel page for further details and remember to book before April 20th, when the block closes.

Question

What will there be to eat/drink?

Answer

There will be appetizers available during the cocktail hour. Our reception will be catered by three food trucks: Pizza Barbone, Bon Me, and Loco Larry's Tacos. There will be drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) available throughout the wedding. We encourage anyone who wants to to bring a reusable water bottle!

Question

What is the weather like in Boston in May?

Answer

At the end of May, Boston experiences mild, pleasant spring weather, with average daytime highs of around 65 to 73 degrees F (18-23 C) and cooler evenings often with lows around 50 degrees F (10 C). While generally sunny, the weather can be unpredictable, so packing layers and bringing a rain jacket/umbrella is recommended. When the sun goes down later in the evening, it can be chillier by the water (our venue is on the banks of the Charles River). Please plan accordingly so you are comfortable!

Question

Do we need a vehicle to get around?

Answer

Boston is an accessible city with good public transport (especially "the T") and readily available ride-share services (like Uber or Lyft). If you stay near the venue (see hotel recommendations nearby on the Travel page), you should be able to get around town without a vehicle with ease.

Question

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

Some classics include duckboat tours on the water, great food in the North End, early colonial history spots, (Nathaniel: "mediocre/bad", Lucrecia: "the best") sports teams, and many wonderful museums. Please see our Things To Do page for more recommendations!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

If we included your children by name or "and family" on your invitation, then yes! Please review your invitation / RSVP details and let us know if you need any clarity. When you RSVP, please indicate whether having childcare would be helpful for your family. Depending on interest, we are planning on hiring a childcare provider.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If we included your partner's name or "and guest" on your invitation, then yes! Please consult your invitation / RSVP details to be sure we are holding a spot for you to bring a guest.

Question

Who should I reach out to with questions?

Answer

For now, please reach out via our wedding email - lunalaciel24@gmail.com. We have a few people monitoring this and will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
