WE'RE GETTING MARRIED

Luke and Reema met at the best place in the entire world, Ohio State University, when they were both seniors. Reema did not really think much about Luke but, always thought he seemed nice and was cute. Luke, on the other hand, was fairly unrehearsed when it came to girls and speaking to them. It was near Thanksgiving of 2012, that Reema decided to make the first move and texted Luke. Luke and Reema continued to text throughout the holidays and began dating soon after. Life kept them both in Columbus for three (3) years after graduation, where they began their careers, made friends, and enjoyed as many Ohio State games as they could. In 2016, Reema was accepted into grad school and Luke found an incredible job opportunity in Chicago. The move was tough, but Chicago had its own amazing memories in store for the two.

It was on a Thursday early evening, Reema was suspicious that something was going on as Luke was putting on a blazer for a "casual dinner date"...something he never does. It was cold, windy and rainy - but Luke insisted that they take a two (2) mile walk...to Reema's complete displeasure. However, in hindsight, it was worth the cold walk when they arrived at the location that changed their life forever. Luke made sure they were at Reema's favorite spot, where the views of the city and Lake Michigan are simply breathtaking. Luke hired a guitarist to play "Marry Me" by Jason Derulo. He got down on one knee and proposed. After, Luke and Reema dined at one of their favorite restaurants. Luke was more prepared than ever, and had Reema's parents and his parents coming to visit for the weekend to celebrate. Family means everything to both of them so this was the second best (after the ring, of course) surprise. All in all, the event was incredible and unforgettable. As we look ahead to 2018, Luke and Reema are happier than ever, have enjoyed every minute of being engaged, and are ready to get the wedding festivities started!
