Accessible from downtown Juneau!
Juneau is home to countless hiking trails, many of which are easily accessible from the downtown area. The link will take you to Alltrails, and here are a few of our favorites: - Mount Roberts Trail: begins at the tip top of downtown Juneau and takes you along the mountain to Mt. Roberts tramway (and beyond if you are feeling adventurous). Not feeling the hike back down? Buy a tram ticket and ride down! 3.6 miles out and back, cut that in half if you are riding down - Perseverance Trail: beautiful views that easily take you away from the hustle and bustle of the Capital. Perseverance itself is 4.6 out and back, but you have the option to hop on other trailheads that peel off of Perseverance. - The Flume: an easy peasy trail that follows along the old mining flume - out and back is 1.4 miles
