However, it is best to be BEAR AWARE. Be aware of your surroundings when hiking and don’t be afraid to carry bear spray when you visit more remote and less popular trails (cannot fly with bear spray but it can be purchased when you arrive). This is not to scare you from hiking- hiking is one of the best parts about Montana!
