We're celebrating in early fall, when the weather can be delightfully unpredictable anywhere from crisp to warm. The average temperature hovers around 54 degrees, so we'd suggest dressing in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day. Since we're keeping our décor minimal, we'd love for our guests to be the color of our wedding! Please refer to the color palettes above for inspiration. Wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable just skip the jeans. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
With favorable weather, we'll hold the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, followed by an indoor reception. The venue features a covered patio, so you'll have the option to enjoy a beverage outside even if it rains. Should we experience significant rainfall, we'll move the entire celebration indoors. Average temperatures hover around 54 degrees, and rain is typically minimal during this time of year.

The Canal House features a dedicated parking lot just before the bridge, with staff on hand to guide you to your spot.

Ubers/Taxis
Answer
Ubers and taxis aren't readily available in our area, though you could get one it probably won’t be cheap or very fast. We have plenty of friends and family in town who would be happy to help. If you're traveling from out of town, simply reach out and we'll coordinate a ride for you. We care deeply about your safety, so please don't hesitate to ask for help getting home if you need it we promise there will be plenty of people ready to assist!

Where can I fly in?
Answer
Three convenient airports serve our wedding location. Dayton International Airport is the closest option, just 45 minutes away. Columbus International Airport is approximately an hour and a half away. Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is nearly two hours from our venue. All three airports offer rental car services and ground transportation options to suit your needs. As a friendly reminder, all guests will need to present either a valid passport or a Real ID Driver's License when flying.

Can I bring a guest/date?

Due to limited space, we're only able to welcome guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus-one, they'll be listed under your name in the RSVP section. We appreciate your understanding, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

Are kids allowed?
Answer
Absolutely! We'd love to have the children celebrate with us. That said, if you'd prefer to make it a child-free getaway, we completely understand and support that choice.

We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 15th, 2027.

What do I do if I can’t make it?
Answer
We'll miss you! If you're unable to attend, please let us know at your earliest convenience by RSVPing "not attending" so we can finalize our plans accordingly. Thank you for letting us know.

NO cell service
Answer
The venue is located in an area with limited cell service. While GPS will get you there without issue, please note that you'll lose service approximately three minutes before arrival. We wanted to give you a heads up so you can plan accordingly!
