We’re so excited to have you visiting one of our favorite parts of Los Angeles! Since Sara grew up in the Culver City area, we wanted to share a few local favorites so you can experience the neighborhood like a true Angeleno. From farmers markets and scenic views to some of our go-to restaurants, here are a few spots we love. Hatchet Hall Vicky's All Day Maydan Market S&W Country Diner Night + Market Sahm Jurassic Magic Millcross Coffee Versailles Cuban Restaurant From great coffee and casual diners to incredible restaurants, these are places we truly love and hope you enjoy too.

Mar Vista Farmers' Market

12198 Venice Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90066

If you're in town on Sunday, we highly recommend stopping by the Mar Vista Farmers Market. This beloved neighborhood market is full of local California produce, fresh flowers, artisan breads, and small food vendors. It’s a great way to spend a relaxed Sunday morning strolling through the stalls, grabbing a coffee, and enjoying some of the best seasonal fruits and vegetables Southern California has to offer. If you're nearby afterward, a couple great local food stops include: Rutt's Hawaiian Cafe – a legendary local spot known for Hawaiian comfort food and their famous Royale lunch plates. Little Fatty – a modern Taiwanese restaurant with amazing noodles, dumplings, and cocktails. Fatty Mart – part market, part cafe, and full of delicious Asian pantry finds and snacks.

A local favorite with panoramic views of Los Angeles. Climb the famous Culver City stairs or take the easier trail to the top for incredible city views.

A large park with walking trails, gardens, and some of the best skyline views in the city.

Ballona Creek Bike Path

Ballona Creek Bike Path, Los Angeles, CA

A scenic bike and walking path that runs all the way to the ocean if you’re feeling adventurous.

Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach, CA

Venice Beach is one of the most famous beaches in LA and definitely worth seeing if you want the classic boardwalk experience—street performers, skate parks, Muscle Beach, and plenty of people watching. That said, when we want a true coastal beach town escape, we love heading a bit farther south to Manhattan Beach. It's a beautiful beach with a charming downtown area full of restaurants, shops, and a lovely pier. It’s one of our favorite places for a sunset walk along The Strand.

Arcana: Books on the Arts

8675 Washington Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232

If you find yourself exploring downtown Culver City, make a stop at Arcana: Books on the Arts - Luke’s favorite bookstore. Arcana is a legendary independent shop specializing in art, photography, fashion, architecture, and design books. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend an hour browsing beautiful and hard-to-find titles, and it’s a true gem for book lovers and creatives alike.

Village Well Books & Coffee

9900 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232

Located in the heart of downtown Culver City, Village Well Books & Coffee is a beautiful addition to the neighborhood. We love stopping by for a quick coffee while browsing their thoughtfully curated selection of books. It’s a cozy community spot and a perfect place to relax during an afternoon in Culver City.
