Things To Do

Stop here on your drive from the airport. While it can be quite touristy, the views are worth it. Reservations may be required during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Multnomah Falls

Some of the best views of the Gorge are the reward for this 4.8 mile round trip hike.

Angels Rest

If you missed leg day - go for this hike. This 6 mile loop is more challenging but once you reach the top you'll be glad you put in the effort.

Dog Mountain

We have done the guided sunset tour with this company and it did not disappoint!

Hood River SUP and Kayak

Try out one of the sports Hood River is famous for - just don't injure yourself before our wedding.

Get in touch with your inner Portlandia for the weekend and explore Hood River and the Gorge on 2 wheels.

Biking

The Hood River Fruit loop is located in the beautiful Hood River Valley at the foot of Mt. Hood. The twenty-nine member stands offer you a variety of wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, ciders, and food.

While there are plenty of great coffee shops in town, this is by far our favorite. Grab a drink and go for a stroll through the waterfront park located directly across the street!

STOKED Roasters + Coffeehouse

A breakfast sandwich or cinnamon roll from this adorable bakery should be at the top of your priorities for the weekend #carbsarelife

Pine Street Bakery

This delicious Scandinavian gem serves breakfast and lunch and is attached to the Hood River Hotel lobby. Good luck not fighting over the last Danish pancake.

Broder Øst

We frequently make the 1 hour drive from Portland just to eat pizza here and go home. You can't go wrong with any of their options - but don't miss out on the Truffle Shuffle. We recommend adding bacon for extra joy.

Double Mountain Brewery

We're drooling over their burger and fried chicken plate just thinking about it. Don't worry vegetarians - there are plenty of options for you too.

KickStand Coffee & Kitchen

While this 100% is not a local spot, we couldn't leave it off. We stop here for a blizzard before driving back to Portland almost every time we're in Hood River. Nonda's go to is Snickers and Luke's is Oreo!
